I'm enjoying using these safety pins, the colors are cheerful without being gaudy and the pins function fine. The tips are sharp and penetrated my cotton quilting fabric (double or quadruple thickness) cleanly. The larger pins penetrated and held a fabric-wool batting-fabric sandwich.The colored coating covers all the visible surfaces, and the point that's invisible when the pin is closed is not coated, so the point is sharp metal. The first time I stuck each pin through fabric, there was a tiny catch at the start of the coating -- it was easy to get through but not totally smooth. Once I'd poked the pin tip through one or two times, the catch disappeared and insertion was totally smooth. The tiny catch didn't snag the fabric at all, even with the largest size pins on some fragile lace I experimented with.The pins seem medium weight to me. I can bend them with my fingers if I want to (I have strong hands) but they don't bend in my normal uses. Great for hems and quilting attaching patches, but I would use multiple pins on anything that would be tugged apart (such as tightening waistbands). I used three of the largest size to hold a knit shawl closed and they didn't bend, but when I used a single large pin, it did.Generally these are great safety pins with a little extra pizzazz, and I'm delighted with them. The colors are matte, not shiny, and not gaudy -- the orange is almost deep gold, the other colors are as expected. Great for sewing, quilting, and crafts! They provide five different sizes of safety pins, so I can always find the size that's just right for what I'm doing. Highly Recommended!

These pins are not very sturdy. I liked the case it keeps the pins perfectly separated.

These are so cute! I know that might sound silly to say about safety pins but they really are. The colors are so pretty and they come in several different sizes! The ideas my daughter has come up with for these are endless. She was so excited about them because apparently they are the new thing for decorating your backpack and wearing as jewelry. She has already started making necklaces and bracelets with them. The quality of these is great. They are definitely more of a heavy duty pin and some cheap ones you’d buy from the dollar bin. These are made to last. The color doesn’t come off and the pictures don’t do the colors justice! Just buy them and see for yourself his cute they are!

The colors are pretty and pastel. They’re very cheery. I like that. I’m a Mr. Pen fan so I love that the Mr. Pen logo is etched into the bottom corner of the box’s lid :)I’ve never had colored safety pins before so I don’t know how to rate the quality. I can tell you what I see, though. There are paint bubbles on them. They do feel a bit thin compared to regular silver safety pins. They don’t go through fabric smoothly. I can feel bumps and something that feels scratchy when I push them through (it’s the same for all sizes and I tried it through really thin 100% cotton and thicker stretch jean material). I wouldn’t use them on really delicate material. They aren’t dull enough to take a star off for, though. They’re perfect for arts and crafts!I like the colors a lot, but they aren’t very sharp :)

These seem well made, with sharp points. When you close it, the clasp stays and it won’t come undone. The colors are gorgeous, vivid and unique, I intend to use these in sewing projects and junk journals. The paint on them is smooth and there’s no peeling. Because of the cool colors I’ll definitely use these in various craft projects requiring a deconstructed look. The price is great too!

I am always looking for a safety pin. This set comes in a very handy plasic case with dividers for the different sizes. You get 300 safety pins in 5 different sizes. The pins are coated with a rust resistent material and come in different pastel colors. I couldn't be more please with these safety pins and shouldn't need to buy any more for many years to come.
