Miss palmer's has always been my favorite wax. Good grip nice and thick and you really don't need a base coat when you use it although a bass code is never a bad idea.

Great stuff for the heat , real heat like down south, most “tropical wax†is fir no more than 80 air snd 78 degree water that we can exceed both by 15 degrees or more which melts wax and makes it slick
