Slow Melting Syndrome is when outer crust perfection is achieved before the sandwiched cheese has adequately melted.
By covering the pan with a lid, you concentrate the heat and coerce the cheese into melting a little more quickly. The bread, in contact with the hot pan, toasts at the same rate. To avoid any potential sogginess from steam trapped under the lid, I leave the top off the sandwich, cover the pan until the cheese is melted, then add the top and finish the sandwich as usual, uncovered. Works like a charm.

Great egg pan - Turned to Amazon and came across this MSMK brand. Good reviews, good price. This pan has a thicker, flat, bottom, requiring a little more time to heat up, but retains heat well. The nonstick is effortless, and I use this every week for eggs with no problem. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip. The pan is easily hand-washable. I have not used it in the oven at all, haven't needed to, surprised the description says it can sustain 700F and a dishwasher - I am not about to test those claims as other brands made similar claims and have had to adjust theirs. The lid is a nice touch, for making sunny-side ups. We had purchased Calphalon nonstick pans for our glass cooktop a couple years back. All of them warped, with a big bubble in the middle. As I submit warranty claims with Calphalon, I picked up this one to hold us over. Well now, I'm contemplating completing the set with a 10" and the sauce pots.

What a nice pan! Perfect for a couple eggs or a serving of asparagus. Well balanced, great handle, excellent coating inside, good fitting lid. What's not to like? Well it is a little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I love this frying pan!! I've had it a few weeks now and everything that I've cooked in it just slides out when it's done! I've cooked bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, eggs over medium, my sausage scramble which is browned sausage with beaten eggs and cheese added and mixed up together, hamburger helper and so far nothing has stuck to the pan. Most of the time I just wipe it clean with a paper towel.If you are looking for a non stick frying pan I highly recommend this one!

I have needed a new skillet. I chose this one for being non stick and having a glass lid.It is working out great for me.It is non stick without any issues. No wear. No Sticking at all and Easy to Clean.I personally hand wash both pieces and dry them and they are always ready to go.I tend to use my favorite cookware over and over. It should hold up. Heavy pieces.The skillet lid fits at it should. Edges not showing wear on either piece.I do watch the Temperature in frying and using the lid as it holds heat well.I noticed I am using a 4 setting on stovetop vs using 5 as before most of the time.Didn't take me long to get used to it.

I purchased this pan based on some reviews. We cook on an induction range. The pan bottom is flat which is excellent for a glass cooktop. The nonstick surface is exactly that. The glass lid that comes with it is a great extra. We have used it many times by now and are very pleased with this purchase. I just ordered the 8" version to replace an 8" Al Clad stainless steel pan with a metal lid we have used for many years.
