I purchased this M-T 80W Suction Fume Extractor to replace a very big and bulky system that I pieced together in bits and pieces. This new extractor is powerful and light weight and so easy to set up and use. I keep this on top of my laser and connect the hose to the back of my laser and it does a great job of drawing the fumes out of the laser cabinet. This fume extractor, even though small, it is very powerful. It has a good deal of adjustable power. I didn't even use the full power of the unit. I have an additional small plastic fan that pushes fumes and smoke from the front to the back for my old unit. I won't need this fan anymore. When I used the new extractor, using about half of the power, I could see the sparks from where the laser was cutting, being drawn to the back of the enclosure where the new extractor was sucking the fumes out. I want people to know that this was such a noticeable difference to my cutting. I can see a much better cut and less burning on the surface. I am really happy that I purchased this unit. I think that anyone that has a cabinet for their laser, this fume extractor will be a great addition to your cutting with your laser.

I got this for when I do my stained glass work. It came well packaged, seems quite sturdy, easy to assemble what few parts need to be, and has very good suction. I checked out the filters, and looks to be a good set up! I love being able to adjust the power. I wouldn’t say this is a quiet machine…but it’s not horrible and I can just turn my music up some. I would have given 5 stars, but there was no instruction manual (not sure there really needs to be one). But also, it would be good to have some info on where to get replacement filters for this specific machine. Either way, glad I got this one, hopefully it holds up!

Just going to get right to the point(s) -1) Filters are very expensive for what you get, and trust me, you will need to replace often2) The design makes it to where ALL of the dirty fume residue targets the MIDDLE of the filter only, 3 laser jobs and the entire filter is useless3) DOES NOT eliminate smoke odor, actually distributes in throughout working area by blowing out from bottom of unit, I blame this on the design from point #2 aboveSave your money, use a proper exhaust system that forces the air outside. This unit is a dangerous alternative

I ordered this because I have started doing more cutting on leather and wood with my laser engraver. It's MUCH cheaper than the system for air cleaning the laser engraver company sells so I figured it might do well enough for my small engraver. It does move the air well, it doesn't fill up the case of the laser engraver with smoke as if I was using nothing. I had tried a PC exhaust fan before, but it didn't pull the smoke out like this does. I only had it on about half strength. It does not remove the smell of the burnt leather or wood. There is no smoke, that is cleaned up, but the smell is definitely still there. It doesn't bother me all that much, I get used to it, but other people in the house really don't like the smell. The hose that it comes with very annoying to work with. I ended up using the other, basically dryer vent hose, instead of what it came with. The hose it comes with is more rigid, but also it didn't fit my laser engraver port on the back for venting, and I couldn't figure out how you were supposed to attach the hose to the filter body itself.Overall, it's still much cheaper than the $400+ system that takes up a ton of space from the engraver company. It doesn't eliminate the smell, but it definitely eliminates the smoke that comes from the laser engraving process. The whole point of this seems more to redirect the fumes from engraving, etc, rather than eliminating the odors completely. For me, it still helps, though I think it's slightly misleading marketing making it feel like the odors will be removed as well. The reason I gave it 3 stars. For functionality, I'd give it at least 4 since it does amazingly well at eliminating the smoke.

I was skeptical about this option when I was initially shopping for a small extractor to use with my fiber galvo laser setup. I went ahead and took a gamble on this one despite it having no reviews whatsoever when I bought it. However, I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. The extractor is very well made, simple to use, and is surprisingly powerful. I will admit there are arguably better options out there for my particular application, but I am definitely pleased with my purchase. My only complaint would be that at full power it seems to be much louder than they advertise, but with the extraction performance you get out of such a small unit... I can see past it. Overall I am impressed with the performance and believe the product to be a good value. Definitely recommend as long as your expectations are reasonable

This was very disappointing. The product states it is able remove fumes for laser engraving, this is completely false. The fumes pass through the filters and come right out the bottom of the machine. The fan was very good at pulling the fumes from the enclosure I have around the laser, however if you are looking to use this in an enclosed space not venting to outside, it is not safe to breath. Used with wood and powder coated tumblers to test. After the two tests I realized this doesn't perform as described and returned it. If you are needing a true fume extractor, look into ones made from laser companies or be prepared to have your inline fan vent to the outside. Was very sad this did not work as we deal with a lot of wind and having an interior fume extractor would have been ideal, this is just not it.
