First- the short and dirty: It works really well, I definitely think it is worthwhile. I am terrible at forgetting to use things, and this one is so passively easy to remember and use, and so readily available that I use it quite often.I am notorious for not only not drinking my hot drinks (or any of them, really) quickly, but also not eating my food very quickly. I have not only used this as a drink warmer, but I've kept food warm and even reheated cold food. (Burgers and pizza for keeping warm, and pizza for rewarming.)For the food, I've done it with just the foil it's come in, the plate in the picture, and most often "my" thick ceramic plate I generally use for all of my food. For that one there is an air pocket between the bottom of the plate and the warmer due to the ridge "legs" of the plate. Rewarming takes a while on the thick plate- less so for the thin one, with the length extending based on how cold the food is. I mostly only ever use high heat, unless I've warmed my food to an adequate temp. For drinks, I don't think I've ever turned it below high. If using it to warm food, the food will get a little toasty on the bottom, which I don't had an issue with since it's been bread products.I've enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would and use it more than I feared. (I was worried it would sit unused, just taking up space because I'm notorious for forgetting.) I've only had it turn on once when I didn't mean it to. I didn't even realize I had touched it, but noticed the light right away. It doesn't always read my touch, but to be truthful, most electronics don't read my touch properly. I think for the average person this will work perfectly fine.I had read a review about the heat of the bottom of the dishes, so I was concerned... but I tentatively touched the bottom of my nearly empty cup that had been sitting there for hours (on high) and while it was certainly warm, it wasn't so bad you could burn yourself. (Unless you've got a medical condition causing extra skin sensitivity, of course.) However- if you're especially sensitive to the heat sensation, I could imagine that it might not feel good. Just a think T-shirt material is enough to make it barely noticeable. The exception to this is actually touching the bottom of the dish while it is actively sitting on the warmer. I touched my thumb against the plate accidentally when picking up the pizza slice and had it been pressed for any length of time, I could see a burning me.The warmer is easy to wipe when something gets on it, and holds my giant, nearly face-sized mugs perfectly fine. The ceramic plate I mentioned earlier is around 6-7", and the one in the photo is over 10". While I am still organizing and beautifying my place, I can see this fitting in well in even a nice and refined space. It is very discreet. I had worried about the designs on the top, preferring a less obvious one, but it turns out that I barely notice it.

I got a coffee cup warmer that came in a black gift box, and it's a pretty nice looking device. It has three settings, controlled by a touch-sensitive button rather than a push button. The first setting is red, for hot; the second is purple, for medium; and the third is blue, for warm. I like that you can touch the sensor three times to cycle through the settings. The warmer has a 4-hour automatic shut-off feature, which is convenient if you forget to turn it off. However, you can manually turn it off by touching the button again after you've finished your coffee. This feature is handy if you need to leave the room and don't want the warmer to stay on. There are ventilation holes at the bottom to prevent overheating, and it has grips on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on the table. The surface is designed more for a coffee mug than a cup, but it works for both. Depending on the thickness of your cup, it might not conduct heat as well. I find it easy to use.

I always use a warmer because I sip my coffee slowly. It doesn’t keep my coffee as cold, but I find it useable.

The size is larger than I expected, but I’m happy with the product overall. The no-touch area gets quite hot, which is expected. I tried a couple of different cup sizes, and they all stayed nicely warm.

Good quality product. It gets nice and hot and keeps your beverage warm for long time. Suggest to start off on lowest setting as the highest setting does get quite hot.
