I was using this to smooth out the casting texture on car parts saves me a lot of time however to use it safely you need a decent dust collection system and proper ppe this thing produces a lot of dust. I've used it with aluminum and steel and it smoothes blemishes out very quickly and nicely.

This is a very nice wheel for finishing metal. It is fine grit and provides a nice relatively gentle abrasion. I am using it to touch up and sharpen some edges for quick work and it is working great.
