I especially purchased this so as to make shredding carrots easier for japchae. The shreds were very thin, so they are good for salads and even for some Asian dishes. If you like your carrots sliced a little thicker, you'll need to use a knife.

It's great for peeling and julienne slicing, however it's rather small and awkward to hold. A bigger, longer handle would make this a 5-star product.

It could be just me, but I don’t like the handle. It is just not a ‘natural’ fit in my hand.
