These brass saddles are a great upgrade replacement for zinc or steel saddles. The machine work is quite good and they will bolt right onto a Precision/Jazz style bridge. One caveat here is the string grooves are on the shallow side and not graduated for string size. Will try them as-is and file to size if needed- more on that later if necessary.I used the original intonation screws and springs as those supplied with these saddles seem too short to get intonation dialed-in. Height adjustment set screws were a good fit and had plenty of reach, so I kept them.Physically, these are a perfect fit and will provide for improved tone. However, the turned finish is coarse and dull. I ended up polishing mine with emery paper, then buffing with metal polish. The brass is beautiful when shined. Just be mindful that this brass was likely selected for density, not hardness- it would be easy to scratch and you need to be careful.That said, nine bucks and change for these saddles, even needing a good polish, is a bargain. If you don't mind the looks or are willing to invest a little elbow grease, you can't go wrong! Recommended.

These worked well as replacements for the original saddles on my Squier Affinity bass. I wanted to mention that their diameter is a bit bigger than the original saddles on my bass. At first I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to set them as low as I had the originals because of this, but it was not a problem to do so.

these brass saddles were waiting for. they were made in Germany, so shipping took some time. However, they were worth the wait. So glad I didn't spend 6x what I paid to get a complete American made bridge. Great value in the precise machining of these bridge pieces, and they will last a lifetime.

Personally, I like and prefer the sound of brass saddles, especially on bass. These are a perfect fit for most fender-style bridges and seem well made. I enjoyed the results so they're staying on my Music Man Bass kit build. Will be buying a couple more sets to install on other basses in the studio.
