I was upgrading my friend's Mexican Squier Series strat (still says Fender Stratocaster on the headstock, not Squier) and wasn't sure which version of the pickguard would fit, so I ordered this one and the official Fender version, which cost like fifty, and didn't even include a back plate. Neither lined up with the screw holes (it's a weird guitar), so I had to drill new ones (filled the old ones with toothpicks and wood glue), but the Fender pickguard looked like crap compared to this one. You can see the Musiclily pickguard on the guitar with the Fender p/g next to it. This one is actual pearloid. the Fender one is not pearloid, it's a PRINT of a PICTURE of pearloid (aka "Moto Black"). Ridiculous! I feel bad for the folks who've never seen a real mother-of-toilet-seat pickguard. They catch the light and show different iridescent patterns when when you tilt it. The Fender is just a flat image printed on the pickguard.Imagine taking a photo of an abalone headstock logo, printing it on your color printer, and making a decal for your headstock with it. It's not gonna look the same, is it?The pickguard feels thick and sturdy, not the slightest bit brittle. I had to remove it from the guitar and put it back on 4 times (wiring issues), and it held up as well as any stock pickguard....feels nice and tough. They really do put 2 layers of protective plastic on there, so make sure you peel them both off.It's true that the holes for the 5 way switch aren't countersunk, but I ended up ordering a new Fender 5 way switch, and they no longer use countersunk screws (it did look a little weird with the old switch and big screws) so if you're replacing the switch as well, then you should be good to go!Perfect pickguard!!!!!

Nice cuts on this product! Screw hole correctly spaced. Has foil tape on back side for noise control!! Great product

To start off this bundle feels like the real deal from other bigger brands but for less. It matches well with a 2005 red squire guitar and it really shows it off pretty well. The only downside is that might align with pre-existing holes 100% of the time. But it's no big deal for someone who has drill bitz on their side to make new holes. Overall great product and would recommend this to someone.

I just installed the Musiclily 3-ply Parchment Pickguard and Backplate on my 2008 Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Both fit the guitar perfectly--all holes in the exact right places--all dimensions correct. The quality and thickness of the 3-ply plastic is great. I received the delivery sooner than estimated. The shielding on the back looks a little thin (not like shiny aluminum foil), but it tested continuous with an ohmmeter so I don't really care what it looks like on the back. The parchment color looks good--not as bright as white and not as dark as the typical cream color. I peeled off the clear protective film (2 layers) from the front of the Pickguard and Backplate before I installed them since it is difficult to get the film off later when it is under all the screws. As far as I am concerned, these items are as good as the Fender originals for a fraction of the cost.

Scratch plate arrived exactly as described in protective packaging with a thin protective plastic cover. Product is indistinguishable in quality from the genuine Fender plates.Your mileage may vary with holes! They didn't exactly line up with my holes on an early 90s Mexican Strat so I had to fill and redrill. So if you've got an older guitar, prepare for that possibility.

Exactly the color I was looking for. Perfectly fit my Player II Strat without having to modify anything.

Ordered this as part of a Fender Squire Strat refresh. The pickguard itself appears to be of good quality, but the 11 mounting holes didn't line up at all for me. I was able to get 2 to line up while still having the neck and bridge indentation in place, so I simply screwed those in and then had to drill the other 9. Even the backing plate didn't line up at all. Also, the factory pickup screws don't lay flush since this pickguard doesn't have indented screw holes, like the factory piece did. A little disappointed since the Amazon item details and Q&A said it'd fit, but I made it work... I would have returned it and waited for another, but I was ready to get this thing back together.

Good quality product and holes aligned perfectly on my 2013 Mexican Standard Strat. The only issue was that it is a tight fit around the 6 point tremolo edge, so much so that I had to loosen it off to allow the tremolo to rise after slackening the rear springs. After the tremolo started floating again I re-tightened the pickguard and all now works fine.

J'ai monté le pickguard Red Pearl de Musiclily sur ma Stratocaster Contemporary Candy Apple Red.Ce pickguard de Qualité est de toute beauté ! Je l'ai reçu bien emballé et dans les temps prévus de livraison.Les perçage correspondent avec ceux d'origine.En revanche, j'ai élargi le passage du vibrato Floyd Rose qui équipe ma Strato Contemporary.J'ai également monté sans difficulté la plaque arrière du cache vibrato Red Pearl. Tous les perçages correspondent !Je suis donc très satisfait de ce pickguard et je recommande ce produit peu onéreux d'une qualité irréprochable.Je passe une autre commande d'un pickguard Dark Brown Tortoise pour ma Stratocaster Olympic White !Merci pour votre sympathique carte et le médiator. 6 holes aligned the rest did not. Cheap and poorly made.Holes don't align on either mim,mij,or American standard. "Luthier"
