What you get is an oddly shaped blue silicon sleeve over an oddly shaped hard black plastic molding.When I bought this no was skeptical, but as soon as I used it I realized it’s a great product. First great point: it won’t scratch your instrument. Second great point: it doesn’t slip on surfaces, and your instrument won’t slip either. Third great point: it offers a number of heights and angles, meant to be right for a guitar, mandolin, or banjo or uke or whatever that is also supported at its tail. I’d been using foam blocks. They slipped easily because the were so light, and they provided not impact resistance to, say, hammering a fret.Yesterday I used this to adjust some banjo spikes. Worked fine with a hammer and nail set and file. Mostly I’m using this while installing new strings on various instruments. I think this is a great product at a fair price.

This is cool. The neck rest is great for changing strings, pick-ups etc. The only caveat is it seconds (if you want it to) as a tool container so you need to take out your tools to use it as a neck rest. I knew that going in and its not a big deal. I keep larger tools like 6-way screwdriver, small philips, pliers, and the Nomad All-in-One tool in it. You're not going to fit much more in there and probably don't need to. So removing them is not a big deal. Or simply don't use it as a tool bin. I have a smaller bin for smaller tools like string winders, allens, truss rod tools, small dykes, etc.

The MusicNomad Cradle Cube is exactly as described! It's a cube. It "cradles" my guitar necks snuggle, securely, and makes it so easy to work on my axes! The blue color is simply stunning and so far it has worked for every single one of my guitars, without fail! I'm not even sure what I would do without this indispensable piece of music gear. It's probably in my top three pieces of music/instrument accessories - THAT'S how good this cube is! Even when it is not being used, this iconic blue "cube" just looks simply stunning when walking into the studio as it sits atop my work gear. It draws the eyes to it not unlike a beautiful woman... this thing just rocks - HARD! If you don't have this, I suggest you buy one or several.

My wife is a music teacher, so when her teaching advisory board announced that Recorders should be indefinitely removed from music curricula due to the risk of COVID19, my wife pivoted to Ukulele's. She immediately started looking for all matter of accessories for Ukulele's. When she first asked if she could purchase a $20 "pillow" for the uke i was a bit hesitant. I literally looks like a piece of plastic for 20$!!!. Well as you guessed we bought it.So it's pretty actually. It's actually made of some soft silicon-ish material that offers softness that won't damage the instrument. What I like even more is that it has a closeable compartment for holding all your tools and accessories that you'd use when tuning or working on an instrument.Needless to say, my wife ended up using to place 80 some sets of fingering stickers on her student's pre-bought uke's. The pillow was a lifesaver.If you have the $$ and are remotely a serious ukulele player, teacher, or technician. It's worth the purchase.

I don't do any major setup work myself but, this cradle makes it much easier to change strings, and works good for electric and acoustics.

O produto é feito com material de qualidade. Na foto parece um plástico duro mas é revestido com um material que lembra aquelas capinhas de silicone para smartphone. Serve para violões de diversos tamanhos e guitarras. Não testei com um ukulele, mas acredito que sirva também. Fica muito mais confortável para trocar as cordas e fazer a limpeza do instrumento.
