This product seems to have greay accuracy and is of high quality. The performance and ease of use is top notch, takes two seconds to give you the levels. Was a great value for the price. I use it for my acoustic and keeps it's sounding great and the appearance of the wood looking great.

Bought this to help keep my nice Taylor acoustic guitar in good humidic shape. Easy to use and easy to read. Sponge hold lots of water so I don't have to refresh it like I do my Damp-it. I do like the Damp-it style which encloses the sound hole but this guy holds enough moisture to humidity the entire guitar body and neck while its in its hard case. The only drawback I can see is.. if you place the gizmo in the sound hole held in place by the strings, its a little difficult to remove it without stretching the strings apart far enough to release its grip. Maybe I just need a little more practice or hold my mouth just right. I do like it and it does the job of providing humidity to my acoustic.

Am I missing something? Cannot locate a simple on/off function. Nothing in the owners manual either. Once I removed the pull-out film to activate the battery, the unit came on. Has been on ever since. I don't need to monitor the RH levels constantly, only check them periodically for any possible change. Wonder how long the battery in this will last under constant-duty use? Otherwise...quite pleased with the performance and accuracy of this hygrometer.

I love this thermometer & hygrometer combination SO MUCH that I keep one in each of my acoustic guitar cases at all times!Acoustic guitars in particular are very sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. You may have even noticed that a lot of guitar stores don’t display their acoustic guitars in the same area where the electric guitars are. The acoustics will be in a climate controlled room where temperature and humidity are not subject to extreme changes.This device will enable you to monitor the environment that your acoustic guitar lives in and ensure that you’re not exposing your beloved instrument to shrinking, swelling, loosening of the bridge, neck joints, etc.PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT!I’ve even purchased this item for several friends who weren’t aware of the damage that can occur to their guitars from temperature and humidity fluctuations.One last word: NEVER leave your guitar in your vehicle!! Nice readout, easy to see at a quick glance.Having worked in environmental testing laboratory and having old bones with barometric sensitivity , I am very impressed with the reliable accuracy this device has at the price.I’m perfectly confident in getting accurate enough reading in room near guitar to keep my guitar safe. I play spontaneously at all hours. But yes, your design will indeed get decimal place precision at the sound hole entrance.If you spent $500 or more on a guitar, you need humidity awareness. This is a good one

I used the Boveda Calibration Kit to test the accuracy of this hygrometer and it is EXACTLY correct.Great product!

I have 4 of these and an older style. All are accurate. I already have Music Nomad humidifiers and I like to know if all are in 40-55 range. I really should order 3 more so all my acoustics are covered instead of rotating gauges.

The plastic container and sponge work ok. I have those. I have not added the hyrgometer lid for the simple reason that it's $20 for that and it has no connectivity to send data without opening the case, and track data over time. As this is, you open the case and see one reading that tells you nothing about how the humidity has been changing since the last time you opened the case. You can buy a hygrometer that does that for about $4. Or for $10-$12 you can buy a bluetooth Govee hygrometer that will track the data and connect to your phone via bluetooth. They also offer WiFi models that can connect to your local area network. There are other brands, I just have experience with Govee and their phone app is pretty user friendly. Music Nomad should reach out to them and have them do a lid that's bluetooth and/or WiFi. IF they really wanted to be really clever, they would build it on a "stick" that extends down into the middle of the guitar and measures the sensor THERE instead of right on top of the sponge outside the guitar's soundhole.

j'adore toute cette gamme de produits. Couplé à un très bon étui Hiscox et à des régulateur Boveda, je réussi à maintenir un taux de 55% toute l'année quelle que soit la saison. L'achat revient bien moins cher que de chercher à avoir une guitare avec des tiges en carbone dans le manche (qui n'empêcheront pas votre manche de se casser en cas de chute !)

Purchased HONE - Guitar Hygrometer in late March. When I first received the device it seemed to work fine. 3 1/2 months later and it is 22% humidity everywhere according to the Hone Guitar Hygrometer. It is 22% humidity in the the case of my Taylor, 22% humidity in the bathroom with a steamy shower running, 22% humidity sitting on the edge of the hot tub, 22% humidity next to the Accurite weather station reading 46% humidity, 22% humidity with old batteries, and 22% humidity with new batteries.Good idea? Yes.Good execution of a durable product? No.Cannot recommend due to the obvious product failure.

Its accuracy may not be great/would love if it had an off switch instead of always being on.Still better than flying blind though!
