My husband ordered this for his best man as his main wedding gift (plus cuff links for himself, his best man & groomsmen to wear the day of the wedding). We were SO impressed with how it turned out that I know I’ll end up ordering another one for my husband in the future. The engraving is beautiful and flawless. It can also be used for so many types of alcohol, making it a good universal gift if you aren’t 100% sure what they’d want to use it for. Went over to the BMs apartment and he had it prominently displayed on the bar, which looked pretty badass...the wood barrel mixed in with the standard glassware, copper mule mugs, cocktail shaker & accessories, made for a more sophisticated and put together vibe without taking up as much counter space as I expected. Also felt really quality/sturdy and he reported no leaks as he aged some whisky for manhattans. The 1 or 2 L sizes are perfect in my opinion. Any bigger and you really have to be aging a LOT of alcohol that would be too much unless you’re trying to bottle it after making it. Overall, I 100% recommendation!

Quality of the barrel seems very good. The print was a little light, I hope it endures, but overall, I’m very pleased.

This was a gift and it’s crap. First there is something (no idea what it is) stuck inside the barrel that won’t come out, it’s too big to fit through the 2 holes n the barrel. Second the pour spout is very poorly made. Third we started the process to cure the barrel, it leaks. Don’t waste your money.

I love the old world look and wanted to display it in my home bar-man cave. You REALLY have to follow the instructions and take the necessary steps and time to cure it if you plan to use it as intended. Otherwise, it will almost certainly leak. Not the ideal scenario if you plan to use it for your good liquor ($$$$). If I have one complaint it is that the personalization (at least mine) is somewhat obscured by the spigot.

These barrels are perfect for gifts -- reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The craftsmanship is top notch. The materials are solid. Definitely get your money's worth with this barrel!

Excellent barrel for ageing you shine,,, mines been aging for two weeks and already its got a nice rich caramel color and taste better everyday. Once aged 6 to 8 weeks, will drain off a qt and add a qt.. love it,, thanks MY Personal Memories,, for a great product.

Bought this barrel to age corn whiskey in. The first spigot leaked constantly. A replacement spigot was sent promptly and seemed to seal during the curing process (fill with water for 3 days). After curing I put in the whiskey. Within 24 hours it was leaking from barrel and spigot. I love the barrel for it's craftsmanship and design, but cannot give it 5 stars if it won't hold whiskey.I'm currently waiting for response regarding this issue.The company sent me a replacement barrel with barrel wax. After curing (for 2 weeks), the new barrel seemed to be tight, however the spigot design just doesn't hold tight, at least not with whiskey. I modified the spare spigot I received by plugging it to prevent any flow. This barrel at least is tight. After aging this whiskey I intent to re-bottle it . I can't go 5 stars if the spigot leaks, but worth 4 stars just because of craftsmanship, and design.After another two days, the barrel started leaking again. Of a total of 3.75 liters of whiskey, I am reduced to barely 2.0 liters due to all the leakage. It's a pretty barrel, but does not hold liquor. Might work better with beer or wine. Back to 3 stars.
