This works great for watercolor paper. I use it to trace images onto watercolor paper. There are NO smudges like you would get with traditional carbon paper, and the traced image comes out very light so it doesn’t show under the paint. Easy to use- one side is dark grey/black and the other is white (Black side goes down..)Will buy again

I used it on a canvas, that I coated with a substance that will receive pastels. The markings from the transfer paper were the right density.

I am currently using it with detailed photos I wish to paint. It transfers well and can be partially erased if desired before painting

I've been an artist for a long time. I've had a lot of experiences with graphite papers AND waxy carbon papers.Overall this wax free "graphite" paper does what I purchased it for. (transferring drawings onto wood for pyrography). The transfer isn't waxy. And so the wood burning tool does not get gunked up with the transfer lines. YAY.But it was hard to transfer it through. I used a thick hard mechanical pencil AND a regular type pencil. And even tried the edge of my finger nail to test how much force was needed. The transfer was super light, almost invisible, unless I used a lot of hand force. I had to go slowly and press pretty hard.I've used graphite paper in my youth and no extra force was ever needed. But I haven't found graphite paper like that in years. It's hard enough to find anything that's not waxy.Other reviewers have mentioned those little ball head stylus things, so I might try those for my future use.

I use these to transfer designs onto ceramic bisque pieces. They work great and since there is no wax in them, I can glaze or detail paint right over the lines, which burn off in firing.

I am an artist and have used both wax-based transfer sheets and graphite transfer sheets. I would rate this product at the bottom of my list. I received it today and immediately did some testing. Using simi-textured watercolor paper on a hard surface. I made several marks on the white side of the paper with varying amounts of pressure. Even pressed nearly to the point of breaking the lead on my pencil to find that very little graphite transferred to the paper. I did an erase test and found that it did erase but not as well as pencil marks directly on my artwork. The sheets are two thin for me to trust trying to print on them. But that was not may goal. I will go back to my light table instead of using this product.

I first used MyArtscape Graphite Transfer Paper on a wooden sign. The transfer was very faint but usable. I next tried it on a white jacket pulled taut for embroidery. There was no transfer at all, even when I applied more pressure. I'll keep using it for hard surfaces, but fabric is a no-go.

I have used carbon paper gor years on my oli paintings. But the carbon makes a strong dark line which doesn't matter as much because I can paint over it with oil paints. BUT when I paint with thin layers of acrylic on 300 lb. watercolor paper carbon paper is hard to erase! This GRAPHITE paper however makes a nice erasable more subtle line and works perfect for drawing for watercolors/ acrylics and thin washes of paint or markers or whatever.

I did wonder if this would turn out to be the cheap, waxy type of paper despite its description as being graphite - I've been caught out by that before. However, I'm very happy to say that this is indeed Graphite, and Erasable, and gives a decent image to work with when used on smooth-ish wood for pyrography. At least as good as the 'leading' brand of graphite transfer paper. Will happily reorder this.
