This 12 gauge steel wire is soft enough to bend with your hands, but sturdy enough for many common applications. I have used it to temporarily hang automotive brake calipers when performing brake service, as well as tying cattle panels to T-posts when fencing.

Very good wire and more resistant to bending into a shape than I thought for the application I have -- I might try a smaller Ga next time. Very good quality -- shiny and solid.
