My 9-year-old daughter just recently started skating, so we got her these skates for Christmas. She was excited, not only to have her own skates, but also to see the pink sparkles and light-up wheels! She used them for the first time today and stated they were very comfortable--no issues with tightness, rubbing on her ankles/lower legs, etc. They were a little bit of a challenge to lace the first time, but once I got them and showed her how to use them, she was able to put them on and take them off on her own. She's in shoe size 1, so we didn't have to adjust them, but I was having trouble adjusting them with the button. I have a feeling I missed something, but I didn't spend a lot of time on it since they don't need to be made bigger yet. She's had other glittery shoes that started looking shabby quickly when the glitter started to come off, so I'm not sure how long these will look good, but she adores them for now.
