I live this mattress for our baby. I opened it up and no weird chemical smell which I was so happy about. Also it fits perfectly in a standard crib, it's nice and firm too on one side and a little softer on the other for when you transition to a toddler bed. It's expensive but worth every penny.

After substantial research, I finally choose the Nature Bee Breathable mini 2stage crib and toddler mattress. It fits well in a mini size crib and it's an item I definitely did not want to cheap out on. If you're looking for a Breathable crib mattress like we were, I would highly recommend this mattress. I think this is one of the best choices a parent can make for a newborn for when they roll over on their bellies and go facedown on the mattress. Breathable sheets are also a great idea as well. The firm side is firm enough but comfortable enough for her. I like that is can convert from an infant mattress to a toddler mattress. Also this mattress is non toxic. It gives off no smell whatsoever.This mattress is indeed a full 5" thick which is great. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mini mattress.

We were looking for a 6" mattress specifically and they are not easy to come by. We wanted organic , breathable and not foam. Nature Bee Organic's HoneyComb Fiber Core is everything you want in a mattress. I love that it has two sides with different firmness and will last us a few years vs only the newborn stage. So far I am the only one that tested the comfort of it (the baby is on the way!) and let me tell you it is amazing. And so much cheaper than the other comparable mattresses out there. I can not wait for my baby to sleep comfortably in their crib.

This mattress is outstanding for our mini crib. Having our first grandson we wanted a mini crib since we knew the baby would come visit and wanted to make sure we had a safe crib and especially for the mattress. It fits perfectly in the crib and is firm and safe!!!!! No smell to the crib mattress and fit the mini crib perfectly. Would highly recommend this mattress (and it passed the daughter in law and daughter's requirements.

Great mattress. No smell. It took us FOREVER to figure out which side was infant vs toddler. TIP: Unzip the cover and there’s a tag that indicates which side is the infant side! I hope I save someone else 20 minutes.

I'm glad I went with this mattress because it has 10X better ingredients than a lot of mattresses for similar prices. The mattress is firm which I like, because my pediatrician said I needed to get a crib mattress with a firm surface. When I opened the mattress there was zero trace of any smell, just clean. Cleaning is very easy and the mattress cover that it comes with easily zips off to put in the washing machine. The mattress is also not heavy, it is lightweight enough for me to easily change the sheets. There are other mattresses I've felt at stores that are bulky and heavy, and thankfully this one is just the right weight for me to change. I highly recommend this mattress because it's great for babies whether they are tummy sleepers or back sleepers. Getting a 100% breathable mattress was a must-have for me when it came to making this decision. 10 out of 10!

This mattress seems nice and thick and comfortable. The inside is 100% polyester and I wish it was an organic inner, but at least there's no polyurethane foam. And at least the zip cover is 100% organic cotton and soft, easy to zip open and close. Fits well in my standard crib with no spaces or gaps on the edges. No bad smells either and it's nice that it was shipped as a full sized mattress in a large box so I didn't have to wait for it to unroll or expand or anything like that. My only complaint is that I have no idea which side is the firm infant side and which is the softer toddler side. There is no marking or label anywhere to differentiate and they feel exactly the same. For this reason (and the fact that it's just polyester on the inside) I wish it wasn't so expensive. But it was important to me that there was nothing harsh or toxic and I appreciate that there's no plasticky/crunchy sound to the mattress. It does seem good quality and more lightweight than I was expecting. Not waterproof though so will need a protective cover.

We were looking for a 100% breathable mattress since our baby started sleeping face down. This mattress is definitely it! We tested it and yes it really is 100% breathable and knowing that the cover AND the insert is cotton (unlike a lot of other brands that have cotton covers but polyester inserts). So no off gassing. It’s firm on infant side and softer on toddler side. This mattress definitely gives us the much needed peace of mind. Would recommend it. (We paired it with waterproof Naturepedic 100% breathable cotton mattress cover for protection from accidents)
