I bought this stand as a replacement stand for a ring light. Works perfectly. Made of good quality materials. Very sturdy.

I needed a heavy-duty stand for my studio lights. The one I used previously sagged under the weight and the light diffuser bounced. This stand is solid. No movement. No sagging. It does exactly what I needed it to do.

While I thought this thing was air cushioned (my fault for not reading) it is spring cushioned and solid! For the money this thing is worth it!! No bag, but again for the money this thing is a brick of gold. Holds my Westcott FJ400 and 36" octobox up with no worries The first section of the stand appears to be about 1 1/2" thick with the 2nd being about an 1 1/4" and the 3rd about an 1". The legs appear to be 3/4" but that being said I think Neewer was trying to keep this as light as possible without sacrificing sturdiness. Great tripod all in all so far!!!!

At the price, these are sturdy and well-made. The shock-absorbing feature is a good safeguard in case you don't properly tighten the adjustment knobs and the central column collapses. They are more than sturdy enough for medium-large-ish strobe (400 WS in my case, but I don't know the weight) plus a modifier. With a background support rod and brackets, you could use them as background support as well. Would purchase again except that I am set for light stands now (these are my two best). 4 stars because I have only had them a few weeks, but it seems the adjustments are rugged and should hold up over time.

So these lighting stands arrived today and having worked for nearly 30 years professionally on major productions, I really wasn't expecting much more than the bare minimum for these light stands but buy were my expectations blown away. I opted for the pro version here and after being so used to old professional and well known brand lightweight light stands and others over many years in production, these have far exceeded my expectations. The light stands are solidly built with the Aluminum Alloy being very very strong. As mentioned in another review it has rivets instead of the screw and nut arrangement in the photo, but these mean they keep the whole thing tight without the wiggle I've been so used to with other light stands. They may eventually need replacing with a screw and nut arrangement but I'll have those on hand in my kit just in case.If you're debating whether to buy the pro vs regular Neewer light stands, go for these. They are better than the cheap aluminum stands from a lot of professional film supply companies. One thing too, these don't mention anything about cushioning, but each extension have solid spring cushions, which came as a complete and pleasant surprise to me.Neewer, you're winning me over as a customer and the more products I purchase the more I am thrilled with each purchase. You've allowed me to start building my own film studio, and start fulfilling my dreams as a Director, Producer and Cinematographer that started over 30 years ago.Thank You!!!

I've used all kinds of stands for photography and videography. This serves best for paper backdrops or lightweight lights. The height is great for studio work.

These things are way beefier than i expected. That's good and bad depending on what i'm doing. Not really light weight, but still portable. Kinda bummed they don't fit into my light stand bag. but i do love them when i need a large light modifier on location. These make that really easy. Just needed a couple of sandbags. All that said they are a crushing value for the money compared to many other options. This has filled the role i was going to use a C-stand for.

HOLY CRAP! These are incredibly sturdy light stands. I am very happy with my purchase, probably not the ideal stand if you trying to be lightweight because they are quite hefty. I am a very large person so carrying them and manipulating them is about average size for me so it makes a very pleasant experience using them. Definitely going to be buying more of these!

These stands are amazing for the price. I use these for mounting LED lights while shooting videos. These are sturdy and are also spring-loaded, like cushioning. love these. I use sandbags when using bigger LEDs.

They are bigger than expected but pretty good and stable, quality not bad. These two are my firsts option when I do a photoshoot, I definitely recommend them.

I am an amateur enthusiast and use these stands for softboxes and speed lights (portable flash), but they would work very with a heavier studio light also. They are larger than cheaper stands, thicker, sturdier and more smooth. The feet can open quite wide so it will be stable with a heavier load. The collar at each joint seems to be made of metal rather than plastic. I recently had a cheaper one snap in half at the plastic joint connection when I was only carrying it upstairs. It knocked quite lightly against a wall and the plastic collar snapped in half. They are not air cushioned but each extension is spring cushioned/loaded so if you accidentally let the extension drop with equipment on it, it won't suffer a hard jolt and should be fine. These look quite sturdy and professional. They make my other stand look cheap and spindly in comparison. I'm sure you can pay more for better quality yet, but I don't think you can go wrong with these unless you have very heavy duty needs. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd. I should have bought the 2 pack to start with.

Wir haben vor zwei Jahren ein leichtes und günstiges Hintergrundsystem gekauft. Dieses wackelt und steht alles andere als stabil, auch die Höhe bei einem relativ stabilen Stand war mehr als inakzeptabel. Also musste ein anderes Hintergrundsystem her.
