I wear a men's 12.5 (U.S.) and got the recommended 2XL. They are a touch snug, but given what they are for that is better than too loose. Will need to take them diving to give them a real test.

I bought the 2XL because i wear a size 13. These were supposed to fit, but no way! I can get them on, but then they hurt my toes because they are too small. I am going to try a 3XL size.

One of the biggest issues I have with similar items from brand names is that they are not snug enough or too short to not fill with sand when doing a beach dive. Also, while less problematic, these socks expand a bit when wet, and they can come loose when finning too hard. These are definitely the solution since the leg part is long enough and snug. One still can get in and out easily, but and there is a velcro strap to further tighten the opening. The latter is not attached to the bootie, and it might be lost if one isn't careful. But it is not really necessary to keep the bootie in place.A nice twist is that the material is more porous in the toe area. So, trapped water flows out when leaving the water, which is nice on boat dives when one prefers to leave boots on to prevent slipping (the sole is covered with sticky material - very nice!).On the flip-side, the warmed up water flows out faster, so if one plans to use them for wading through cold water or moving in and out of the water frequently, the warming benefits of these booties are reduced. But overall, a great product for my purposes: diving and kayaking.
