I was looking for an overshoe that would be easy to put on and take off and provide me with comfort, warmth and unencumbered mobility while monitoring the playground on snowy days. The ease of putting the overshoe on was very important because after helping a gaggle of toddlers with snowpants, boots, coats, mittens, etc, I don't want them waiting too long on me before we go outside and I also don't want to be stuck wearing heavy snowboots indoors all day. Not every snowboot is made that allows the wearer to comfortably get up and down off the ground, crouch, etc. Overshoes are exactly what I need. Most days this winter I've worn my little bean boot rubber mocs and found them to be extremely practical but on those heavy snow days when I take the children outside or have to shovel some snow, these overhsoes are perfect. So, I originally bought the medium size because I'd measured my shoes and gone by the size chart on the NEO website. I found it impossible to get my shoe into the boot though, despite careful measuring and loosening straps, etc. So I sent them back and exchanged them for the next size up. The fact that the measuring chart and reality of these overshoes isn't quite realistic might make some people dock a star, I pondered docking one because of the size issue. But these shoes are so well made and sturdy, I feel that realistically they deserve all the stars you can give them. These overshoes are quite large because they have to go OVER your shoe and foot and thus, can't be the same size. So walking around in them looks and feels awkward while you're in that "I'm getting used to this" phase. But they do feel comfortable and warm otherwise, right out of the box. Yes, they are a bit heavy and yes, it is awkward. Please remember these are meant to go OVER your shoes and that's why they're awkward at first and why they feel heavy. You're wearing two pairs of shoes. I feel like I have to repeat that a lot, because at first, I found it frustrating and I have seen a number of reviews posted from people who just couldn't bear these shoes. I did find that they can be a bit iffy when you take them off, and I often have to fish out my regular shoes after I take off the boots but that's not a deal breaker for me. Also, I have large calves. Large enough that it does make buying boots difficult, and these do "wrap" around your calves with velcro. My calves are too large for these (and I have short legs with probably doesn't help that) at the top and I worried about how I'd keep them on. I pondered getting those straps that cyclists use to hold their pantlegs in place, and using that to help hold the boot in place but even though I can't fully velcro ALL the velcro parts, they stay on and it's not a problem. But if that becomes an issue for me at some point, that's my "fix" solution. I'm glad I made the investment, they're working out perfectly.I think the only negative I can come up with is that actually, these might not be very easy to run in. At least for me.I did find the price a little daunting because I'm on a bit of a fixed income as a teacher, but if you shop around and put a little effort into it, it is possible to find them for a lesser price.

I am stingy with giving 5 star ratings so I am telling you.... these are awesome overshoes. I can wear my normal (non waterproof) boots inside these and my feet are warm & DRY!!! The ComEd worker told me that he wears these so I gave them a try - so glad I did!! They are a little clunky in the beginning but I adapted to them. I work outside all day in Chicago weather - I will keep these for a long time.

These boots slip over any of the men's size 10 shoes I've worn with them pretty easily. They are as comfortable as your most comfortable pair of shoes. I'll even slide my slippers into them to take the dog out or get the mail. The only problem with that (and it's not really even a problem) is my slippers stay in the boots when I take them off. These boots offer no arch support whatsoever, so I wouldn't recommend wearing them all day with slippers. Although I did shovel snow from my deck and two parking spots yesterday in eleven degree weather. I was out shoveling for about 45 minutes and my toes never got cold once. They do feel a little large on my feet, especially when driving, but it's not too bad. I just need pay attention so I don't put my foot on the brake and the gas at the same time. Overall these boots are excellent. The only down side is I wish these boots had a zipper closure. My OCD makes me take the time to line up the hook & loop closure perfectly every time and it's a real pain in the gut for this fat guy to bend over for that long. A zipper would be much quicker and easier.Update: I still love the boots, but I should add that after wearing them for one season I should let anyone that takes the time to read this review know that these boots are very lacking in the traction department. Between the relatively hard compound and the very shallow, rounded lug tread pattern, these boots have horrible traction. I do not feel sure footed in the least when wearing them in the snow. If you want footwear that offers convenient protection from the elements and stable footing you should buy some of those strap on cleats to go with them. I haven't done that yet, but I plan to once the white stuff starts sticking around for the season.

I’m a mail carrier in northern Maine. these are great in all conditions! Rain, Deep snow and negative degree temperatures. I walk 12 miles a day with them on Everyday 5 months of the year! I use my daily leather office shoe - slide them in when I hit the street. My feet stay warm and toasty! Best investment I’ve ever made! 5 stars for NEOS overshoe!!

I have owned and worn a pair of NEOs for many years. I have a very wide foot and high instep, so I had to get a size larger than my shoe size. My old NEOs were actually a little too big, but I wore them anyway and they have provided me with years of dry feet in the winter. When I ordered a new pair, I couldn't find the same exact style, so I ordered the style that came closest to my old ones. I ordered the same one-size larger than my shoe size. They arrived within days of ordering, but I couldn't even get them on my feet! I had no alternative, but to send them back. I got a full refund. My old NEOs have finally started to leak, so I really need a new pair, but I can't trust the sizing of the new ones, so I will have to make do with my old ones.

These are absolutely the best for Canadian winters. They definitely saved my feet from being completely frozen this winter. I totally recommend them 100%.

Smaller then I expected on the inside. Without being able to try on the boot it is hard to get a good fit. Depends on which boots you have if they will fit right.
