This is a quality bag and it features a built in zip lock. It’s actually at the bottom. So you fill the other end (I use these for nuts and spices), then vacuum seal. When you need them, pull out of the freezer and you can tear the top off near the zip lock size and the zip lock is reusable as you go through the nuts and spices.Really good value, seals perfectly, very light. It seemed like a great idea just reading the description but I guess I was more confused than I thought at the time. I thought it would waste less plastic but the opposite is true. I like the idea that you can freeze multiple items in one bag then take them out one at a time later, but... That's OK if you're going to use the rest of the bag's contents soon but you've lost the original hermetic seal when you open it. At that point it's just another freezer bag. For example, I make a big batch of lasagna and freeze some 20 - 30 servings. I figured using these I'd put 2 'bricks' of lasagna in each bag and just take 1 out at a time. In an attempt to prevent them freezing together into one big block I put parchment paper between them. Now I've got a bunch of big block in each bag with a piece of paper in the middle of it. The paper did not help at all. I'll figure out how to do it but it's a bit frustrating having to do so. What these are great for, though, and it added one star to my rating, is that I can fit almost anything I want to freeze in one of these bags and I don't have to mess with figuring out how much plastic to cut off the roll. Too many times I've cut the bag too small.

Love them. They are a nice size for the bulk of what we do. I like the zipper part as its very handy and saves a lot of time. We use these to store items like sliced meat where we will only use a portion of the contents and then seal them back up. Before these we would have to thaw out the contents and then transfer all the connects into a new zip lock type bag. Now it much simpler as we can skip that step and the bag needed to do it.These are nicely made bags that seem to seal well. They are a convenient size and easy to work with. I'll be buying more!

Works perfectly with my Nesco sealer. It is a high-quality product and is noticeably better than the knockoffs sold elsewhere. You may not find out that the bargain priced ones aren't such a bargain until you take your food out of the freezer. I will stick with the Nesco brand.

I purchased this in conjunction with my Nesco VS-12 vacuum sealer. These sealer bags work great. They are more expensive than the regular non-zipper bags, but are worth it for foods that I want to reseal later.
