I've used this lure several times in the past 2 months since I purchased it. It has consistently produced when some of my other larger jigs did not. It has been especially useful since the post spawn. It seems to match the size and color of the newly hatched fry pretty well. ( Brown color purchased. Clear with red metal flake and a brown inner color. Looks very much like newly hatched fry. ) I've caught brim (bluegill and red ear sunfish), crappie, and small bass with this lure.It is a bit thin top to bottom, so it works best with a small thin hook. I've been using 1/64 oz trout magnet jig heads and 1/32 oz eagle claw jig heads. Both work well. The rate of fall when you pause your retrieve is slow enough to trigger strikes when other slightly larger and heavier lure combinations may not trigger as many.It seems to be as durable as most standard soft plastics. I've caught several fish per lure body. I gave it 4 stars because it's a bit thin top to bottom (see last photo. You can see that the little "grippers" are protruding through the top of the lure.), so that seems to be the main cause for it ripping apart. I have some older craws that were my go to's but they are no longer being produced. This has been the BEST candidate I've found so far for replacing that lure body, which was a bit thicker and heavier. For best results, you will need to have a pretty decent ultra lite set up. Ultra lite / fast tip rod, reel with smooth drag, and 8 lb. or less braid tied to a 4 lb. or less mono or fluorocarbon line leader. I use it on a one piece Dobyns Sierra Series Ultra Lite/fast 6' 2" Trout Panfish rod, with a Shimano Stradic or Nasci reel spooled with 8 lb. braid and 2 or 4 lb. Spiderwire mono, or 2 lb. Trilene Sensation leader. As I said earlier, trout magnet 1/64 oz. jig heads work well, as do 1/32 oz. Eagle Claws.

I bought these mirco crayfish to try them out. I wasn't disappointed at all! We have caught so many fish with these. Smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, pan fish of all sorts, channel catfish, fresh water drum, sauger, creek chubs. We fish them with a light weight jighead like 1/20oz zman jighead. Fish it slow, stop, slow reel, stop. We use them to fish the beavercreek watershed in Eastern Ohio and have had great luck with them! I've included a few pictures but they hardly touch the amount of fish we have caught.
