I really wanted the stainless ones for the look, but after reading all the bad reviews, chose this plastic one instead. It is strong, sturdy and comes with three types of lids with variable hole sizes. I have not used all the lids, but tried them on and they seem to hold securely with a good fit. They are easy to pop off too. I also like having the measurement notches on the sides.For those who are looking for solid lids, I discovered the silicone dog food can lids (the ones with varied rings for different sizes) fit pretty darn good! I mean I would not trust it to stay on if you knocked it to the ground, but it will keep moisture and dust out.This comes as two complete sets,

Before picking this, I read reviews on Amazon and even did a couple internet searches because it just wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. The complaints about the various choices alternated between the lid falling off (haha! -- obviously not good!) and not being able to get the lid off without real exertion. I finally landed on this one and decided to give it a go -- honestly, it's perfect. No problem with the lid -- I mean no problem at all. And it has a good feel -- I thought the plastic might have those unpleasant seams or something, but its smooth all the way around. I guess there's aren't many of us looking for a big salt shaker (for cooking), but if you are, I can't see why you won't be very happy with this on. Oh, it comes with 3 lids; mine just happens to be for salt, but it would clearly be great for other things. Excellent product.

I bought this to mix my own dry rub, and it is very well suited to the task. However, one thing is missing that didn't occur to me when I bought this: a lid that will seal it. It came with three perforated lids, but it did not come with a solid one. So, if you plan to mix spices and shake them up to blend them, you have to figure out a way to close the top. Similarly, if you plan to carry your blend, say, to a cookout, you need to keep the canister portion upright or risk losing spices.

Love this little sifter. I actually bought this to use in my garden so I could easily sprinkle Diatomaceous Earth powder around the plants to help bugs. The multiple lid options definitely make it easy to choose and control how much I apply. Great quality and value.

We bought one of these to go with our popcorn machine in our office lunch room. This worked so well for the popcorn flavorings that I went ahead and ordered one of these for home. This is good. The lid fits tightly to where nothing comes out the sides at all. It is nice to have the different size tops so you can choose what to use. I may go ahead and order a couple more of these for other baking needs in my house!Pros: Good quality product. Doesn't leak anything out the lid, nor does the lid ever feel loose to pop off.Cons: None.

Nice study little dredger/shaker. My chief complaint here, is that like others have said, there is no "not in use" solid cover to prevent caking or moisture collection. I also wish that the lid with the smallest of holes were even smaller. If one was to try to use this, even with the smallest of holes lid, as a salt shaker, the salt would basically pour out. If your planned use for these is with product that has small particles, like salt, these are not what you are going to want. Neither pleased nor displeased here. I can find uses for these.

My hobby is grilling and BBQ'ing outdoors. I have a pullout spice drawer that is full. I needed a generic type spice shaker (Dredge) to use with some of my rubs. Some are packaged in from 2 to 7 pound containers so I needed something to put them in when applying it to my meat to be cooked.The polycarbonate Dredge's from New Star Foodservices seemed to be just what I needed. I ordered a couple and have been trying them out on different rubs, Kosher salt and cracked pepper. They have a nice handle and are clear so you can see the spices inside. Each one comes with 3 different lids and the holes get progressively bigger on each. That way you have three different hole choices for each shaker. These shakers are priced about 50% less than the metal ones and seem like they work just as well. I will be ordering additional ones.
