After using the shaker when you put it on the table it releases salt onto the surface. I bought this for my ladies in the school kitchen & I kept the other one for my kitchen. It is the most annoying thing for me in my house. Quite honestly I dont use it. Its a personal annoyance. At work it is a awesome tool my ladies needed. They are both VERY happy to have this after we had request one for many months. I got tired of asking & just bought it myself. We sent it through our low temp chlorine dish machine & it came out looking nice. It didnt damage the steel, or the fit of the lid. Nor did it produce rust or anything like that. Ive had this product for about 1 month.

These are great. They are good quality. The handles are large and easy to grip. Lid secures well yet is easy to twist off for cleaning and filling. This may not seem like much but when I washed and dried them initially, I was pleased that there were no seems or creases that would hold water and cause clumping. These really simple shakers are well thought out.

I bought these for two purposes, one to use for menopause hot flashes to fill with cornstarch and keep dry under my breast to keep the yeast rash at bay. The other one is going to be used for my husband's course black pepper.

When I first opened this, I thought the container looked very sleek and it was a perfect size. However, once I got the salt in there, I discovered that when the container is shaken to sprinkle salt, some salt gets in the small space between the cover and the cup, i.e. the groove where the cover screws on. This renders the cover extremely difficult to take off, with the salt wedged between the cover and the bottom. For someone like me who has arthritis in the hands and wrists, this is a disaster. When I cook, I don't always sprinkle my salt straight from the shaker. Sometimes, I like to dip in there with my fingers and sprinkle the salt with my hands for more precision. This container, pretty though it is, causes major pain when I try to open it after salt has been shaken out of it. Even if you don't have arthritic hands, I believe it would be inconvenient for anyone to have to wrestle the cover off when the cover becomes too tight because of salt getting wedged between it and the bottom part. I wish I had known that before I bought this.

A simple & clean looking design that fits easily into your hand and is quite sturdy.The lid easily unscrews to fill it/screw back again and ‘you’re off!’ I find this a very handy kitchen utensil!I was pleasantly surprised when there were 2 of them in the packet as I hadn’t noted that prior.This meant I could use one for the cooking - cocoa, sugar, dedicated coconut etc and - one for cleaning !! Yes!! Cleaning ðŸ‘Simply terrific to use to clean with, for instance, fill with good old fashioned Bicarbonate of Soda (or alt. powdered cleaning product) & sprinkle it on (for eg) a dampened sink to clean it OR, sprinkle then spray over the same area with a cheap White Vinegar to get rid of built up soap or scum .. (*saves mixing to a paste first!).Two VERY useful little utensils in one pack! .. terrific 👌

Good quality. It's not ultra-high quality, but it doesn't need to be. The threads are a bit shallow so it's a bit finicky to avoid cross-threading if you try to close it in a hurry, but that's not a big deal. Other than that it's quite good - decent thickness and strength, decent finish, good capacity, and good hole size. I fill it with a 50/50 mix of rice and AP flours for dusting when shaping bread loaves, and for that it works perfectly and is reeeally handy.
