Your cart is empty.TIME-SERT Is a sophisticated thread repair system that is considered by many to be superior to any other method of repairing stripped or damaged threads. TIME-SERT is a solid bushing insert. This facilitates easy installation and allows for full torque to be applied to repaired threads, ensuring a strong, permanent repair. TIME-SERT is thin walled due to synchronized internal / external threads. Small outer diameter allows for installation in areas where clearance is critical. TIME-SERT is self-positioning. The flange on the top of the insert will insure that the insert cannot wind down into the newly repaired hole. TIME-SERT is self locking. On installation the bottom internal threads of the insert expand to lock the insert in place.

Well, someone (not naming any names) got a little too sauced up on the ol' Coor's Light one night and decided a certain bolt needed about 900 ft/lbs of torque and stripped the threads right out of my thermostat housing. Ordered this Timesert bad boy and had new threads slammed into there about 20 minutes after it was delivered, and that includes the 10 minutes of drinking Coor's I did along the way.

I had an Engine Rebuilding Shop and all we ever used was time sert very very good inserts. Work well with Aluminum remember always use a good heavy oil on the tap when tapping aluminum

First off I will say the kit quality is excellent, everything appears to be high quality tool steel, directions are adequate and easy to follow.Second, I'm done using Helicoil inserts forever, Time sert is the only way to go, period. It's a night and day type of difference one can appreciate.When you need an threaded insert for a shallow wall solution, look no further. I had 1/2" O.D. Stainless steel tubing, with .065" wall thickness. I needed a 3/8"-16 threaded insert for my project.And Time sert was the perfect solution, I am totally pleased on fit, form and function. Totally Stoked would be an understatement.

Got this to repair stripped out threads for water pump on a '95 Grand Cherokee. Kit worked great and was easy to install. Have also used these on stripped oil pan threads, stronger than stock.
