Large Main Slot
The big slot serves as the collection piont, can adjust the descent speed. Large enough to double or triple the single rope to increase frictions.
Middle Center Hole
The middle extra slot could be used as a belay device.
Small Hole
The small one could connect climbing carabiner or other equipment.
Large Bent-Ear
The bent-ear prevent rope sliding up and locking up, create more friction systems. With bent-ear, locking will be much easier and safer.

Efficient Control Descent Rate
Can make 2~4 loops around the ears and connect other climbing equipment. The rope loops must be kept under and within bent ears.

Multiple Colors to Choose
Figure 8 descenders are displayed under natural light, which is closer to the actual color. Different colors for you to choose.

Using this to pull down trees with my tractor. This device allows you to place it on rope anywhere you want. Easy to remove and reposition if needed.

I own several of these devices, they seem well made and will work fine as is. The product description indicates these as made from 7075 Aluminum, however non destructive testing proves otherwise it should not be cause for alarm but the device is made from 6061 not 7075 which is a bit misleading as 7075 is "Twice" as strong as 6061... control items for the test were a Black Diamond Hotforged Screwgate Carabiner, 7075 as advertised, and a CMI Rescue 8 descender that is advertised as 6061 and tests as 6061... the Description is in error but for the intended purpose 6061 is plenty strong.

Full disclosure... I have not rappelled with it yet... likely never will. Just bought it for an emergency descending kit. That said, it is thick and robust with nice smooth surfaces, and appears to be well made.

I had bought a different 8. I returned it because there wasn't enough friction, allowing the 1/2" static climbing rope to slide way too easily. And I'm glad I returned it, because this 8 is way better (using the same rope). I can use it confidently. Thanks

Bigger than imagined, a lot stronger than expected, light weight well worth the price, may buy a second one just to have on hand as I don't see having any issues with this big boy.

Kam schnell gut verpackt und mit Hülle an. Ich habe es noch nie ausprobiert aber es wirkt extrem gut und Stabil.Wäre gut zu wissen wer das schon testete und werde berichten. Es wurde für Areal yoga gekauft. ;-) Freue mich schon. Und das bei 130 Kilo muss halten!
