Tighten the Connectors
The male connector on the jack and the female connector on the pump must be tightly screwed, or the oil will leak.

Press to Retract the Jack
After the pressure is released, the jack piston can not retract by itself. Please press the jack hard by your hand.

I have read a lot of other reviews on this before purchasing. Tons of great reviews. I was kind of bummed when the jack I ordered stopped working shortly after buying. However, Newtry stepped up without hesitation and made it right. Not too many companies stand behind their products anymore. It’s great to see a company that cares.

Very impressive "porta power". I use the name brand version where I work and the Newtry lacks nothing in comparison. This pump and jack look, feel, and operate like a very good quality tool. This unit has Newtry's contact info right on it and I can tell you that they respond right away to help, which adds to the confidence in this tool. Also,the packaging is robust enough to use as storage container for it.

The first time I used it, I had the ram between a concrete wall and a bookshelf sitting on a bare concrete floor. I just wanted to nudge the shelves over a few inches. I don't think it should take more than 20 TONS to do that, but it popped the seals out of the ram before the shelves even thought about moving. At least they included a spare set of seals... like they probably knew it was a common problem.

Had a bike rack that had bars too narrow for my mountain bike's 2.3" tires. Was able to put this unit between the bars (sold steel) and spread the bars about 0.75" to fit the wider tires in the bike rack. I positioned unit in area shown circled in red in picture and was easily able to spread bars by about 0.75"

Used jacks on couple light duty tasks, ok. Worked reasonably well. (4,500lb lift with 2 units). Went to large task (15,000lb each for 2 units) blew seals and threads stripped in rams. Thought 1 bad set used 2nd set purchased and did the same thing. Save your money!

I mainly use this to level shipping containers so the doors open easily. Works great. Also will find other uses for it on the farm like using it with gear etc. pullers.

Bought this in December 2022. Was able to give it a try as working great till the threads on the gland nut gave out. Looks like it was not installed properly at the factory. When I fully disassembled after the failure I found parts of the backup ring on the piston just under the gland nut. Not very happy with purchase. A buddy of mine has one it’s been good for him but this not so much. Guess I try another brand.Would hope to get more then one use out of it.

Was nice and did it’s jobs very well for the first few times using it then it died and spilt fluid everywhere and doesn’t work so good anymore
