This fountain came with a manual. I liked that the bio balls and ceramics were already in place in the filter box with the sponge filters and pump. The cord was already slotted through the side (see photo). The ceramics created some dust in the package and on the filter, but that rinsed away with the first use. I did notice a small chip in the guide at the back of the solar panel. Luckily for me, it is on the “enter†side of the guide (see photo).I had my husband test output voltage, comparing it to two other fountain solar panels on the same cloudy day. This panel rated right where it should be for its size and age (see photo).I was not happy to find that the placement of the pump in the filter box is very important. I was slightly off, and the tiny output valve did not line up correctly with the hole in the lid. To get the pump in the correct location in the box, I had to assemble a short tube to the output valve, insert the tube through the lid hole and then put on the lid to the box. Then I carefully remove the lid without moving the pump from its precise location. I took off a star for the lack of information on how to easily do this. Marking an outline of the pump on the floor of the box would have helped. If you examine the manual pictures, you will see the pump in multiple locations in the box, often with no electrical cord to the solar panel attached.

This is a nice, complete setup to run with the included solar panel. This is a larger panel that will run the pump well. I put the pump in a 5-gallon bucket and even on a cloudy day it was able to get the pump going. This will be great in little "frog-pond" I have at the bottom of my property where I cannot easily get power. I have tried other solar options, but they have all been underpowered. This is one of the better ones I have seen and love that it has filter media to help with water quality.

This is not one of those small fountains that just spits a bit of water but the photos are a bit misleading. Even in New Mexico in full sun at high altitude you do not get the intensity of spray shown in the photos or the video. It is a nice spray, and the birds love it but not the velocity shown. The filter box is great, keeps gunk out of the pump and it is nice that the solar panel can be put away from the fountain a bit.Cloudy days are of course a reduction in spray and none at night.

Works exactly as described. This is a solar pond fountain with a filtration system, the fountain has multiple nozzles and is very powerful. It has been working in my pond for several days and the water is much clearer than before.I can enjoy the fountain while cleaning the pond water without having to pay for electricity, which is exactly what I need.
