I got this primarily for the brushes to use in my watercolor art. I do acrylic pairings much less often, but I thought this would be nice to have for those times i do that as well, and I’m so happy I got it! This is a very nice set! The quality is much higher than anything I anticipated. Everything is very well made. As for the brushes, this is a very nice set of detail brushes. Not only do you get a nice range of sizes, and type, they also are very well made and the tips on the round brushes are super sharp!! I’ve been using the 5/0 liner brush a lot as it has such a nice tip and will hold enough paint for me to lay down more than expected and not have to re-dip so often, as I do with my other liners of this size. This one is a longer brush length, so it holds more water and paint, as a true liner should. Too many times all we get in detail packs at the ones with the very short hair lengths. This has a 3/0 liner that is the same type. Also very nice… But all of the brushes are very good. They’re comfortable to hold and come in a well built, zip up case - which also has Velcro to use as a stand for your brushes while using. The small brush holder that comes with it is nice to have for any kind of painting. The inside of the plastic palette has a middle section with paint wells and room for brush storage. The outer pieces are nice large mixing areas, which can be used as wet palettes during acrylic painting. Since they’re black, I don’t use these for my watercolors, but if they changed the color and made them white, you certainly could. For now, I’ll use (as intended) for my acrylics and help keep the paint wet longer during the painting process. The band that comes with the palette is also proof they really thought things through in the design of this set. It will hold the palette together very tight and secure so you know you’re paints are as airtight as possible and won’t leak or spill. Clean up has been made easy as well. I really don’t have any complaints on this set - it’s a great set for anyone who enjoys painting!

This paint brush set is much better than I was expecting - I'm impressed!This set is great for watercolor and acrylic painting, and is also handy to have for paint-by-number painting. I really like the range of sizes and styles of the brushes.The brushes are very good quality - they are synthetic goat hair mixed with real goat hair. They hold paint and water very well and are easy to clean.The canvas case that holds the brushes is made very well. It zippers open and has holders for all the brushes. The brush holders are attached to the case with Velcro - you can peel this up, bend the holders in half, and they act as a stand. Very handy. I have another set of miniature brushes that I use for paint-by-number kits that I can tuck into this holder - there are no pockets for these additional brushes, but they still fit inside the zippered case.The plastic palette case is also made well. The plastic is strong and sturdy. There are two lids to this case - the top lid can be removed to access the paint palettes, and the bottom lid can be removed to access a storage area for the included sponge and paper pads. The elastic strap holds this case together very well.I've never used a wet paint sponge before when painting, but I am learning how to use these grey sponges, along with the included paper pads. The sponges definitely keep acrylic paints from drying out while you're painting.The paint palette is deigned well and is very useful for watercolor painting. Because this set can be strapped together, it's easy to bring with me when traveling. The palette wells hold the water and paint very well. I do dry up any water before closing the palette, but I have been leaving the watercolor paint in the palettes. The lid on the palette keeps everything neat and tidy.The included instruction sheet is very helpful and is clear and easy to read.I'm very happy with this kit, and do recommend it.PROS:- Excellent quality, made very well- Easy to use and to clean- Variety of brushes make this kit very useful for a range of applicationsCONS:- None

I do not paint models but I do paint with acrylic and acrylic gouache very often and a stay wet palette makes that so much easier. I was interested in this set as you really get a lot included. I was impressed with the brushes and the included case. You really get a good variety of sizes and shapes and the case would be great for travel or even just storing between uses to have all your brushes together.I appreciate that you get multiple sponges to use as well. Most of the time I've seen sets only give you one to start with so knowing I have replacements for the future is great. There's plenty of palette papers included as well. The Palette has an elastic band to help keep the case shut though to be honest it feels very secure when I put all the pieces together. The brush rest is a nice bonus, and the included wells are a good feature for someone needing more mixing space. I just make sure to keep a misting sprayer on hand and mist the plastic wells with water to keep the paint wet.Overall this is a really comprehensive set of good quality. It doesn't take up a lot of space on my desk and is extremely well thought out and functional. I think it would be a great addition for anyone looking for a stay wet palette with a lot of nice bonus items/features.
