Nice and sturdy with a long handle on one end and a hook on the other end, it fits over a bowl really well. The egg yolks separate from the whites quite well too. A few people have mentioned that some of the whites don't separate completely from the yolks, but just hang from the egg separater. Here is an easy solution that I have found. Just tap the egg separater gently a few times against the bowl and the remaining whites will very easily drop off the egg separater and drop into the bowl.

I personally can't do the egg shell method or the hand to separate egg whites from egg yokes. This is perfection. Excellent Quality. Dishwasher Safe. The little hook / lip works great on bowls, measuring cups or mugs when separating egg white from egg yokes. Specifically glass or ceramic vessels. Plastic bowls is hit or miss with the the egg separator given the good weight of be the utensil.

This product by far is one of the best I have bought. It does it job . Easy to use, light on the hands and there is not yolk mixed with the rest. The design is genial and good looking, totally useful in the kitchen. 100% recommended.

I got this to help me separate eggs for Keto recipes for my husband (I'm allergic to eggs). It worked fairly well, but when I used it to separate 4 large eggs in a row, 2 of the yolks just slipped through the spiral. I really didn't think they were small enough to get through but 2 out of 4 proved me wrong. It's still a nice utensil but I will use it more cautiously. I really didn't like having to fish out the yolks with my hand - too slimey for me!

My wife uses this several time a week. She uses egg whites a lot and these yolk separators (we have two) are the best thing ever. And they are dishwasher safe. They have lasted several months with no degradation.

So easy to use and does what it’s needed to do, separate the egg yolks! I’ve been using this to separate egg whites for my French macarons and haven’t had an issue with the yolks cracking or anything. It also has a hook at the end that rests on your bowl for easy hands free use. It does not slide or move once it’s resting on your bowl. I do want to mention that I made the mistake of cracking a second egg on top of the yolk that was already on there and it ended up cracking the existing yolk. So crack one egg and discard the yolk before cracking a second one on top.

Initially, this egg separator worked well and was easy to use. However, after just a few uses, it started to rust, which is very disappointing for a stainless steel product. I expected better quality and durability. I would not recommend this product if you need something long-lasting
