This product worked wonders for us. We were struggling with latching due to my nipples being large. Baby latched right away and was a huge stress reliever for Mom!

As we explore the vast array of breastfeeding products designed to address latch issues, it's clear that we often invest in items that fail to deliver. This product, though conceptually sound, falls short in its execution, as the nipple's tendency to deflate results in minimal suction, leaving the breast feeling engorged and overfull. I personally do not recommend this product.

My daughter would not latch at all. She would just shriek if I tried to get her to latch. My IBCLC recommended this shield. My daughter took to it immediately and I didn’t have to pump and bottle feed her anymore. After a couple weeks of using this shield I was able to completely wean her off. Note, it does collapse sometimes, but my daughter was still able to nurse plenty even if it collapsed.

I love the comfort of this nipple shield compared to others. However, the nipple part of the shield is very thick so the nipple tends to collapse on itself. But, this product would be good to use if you have sore nipples or for in a pinch.

I was desperate to get my daughter to nurse after having a tongue and lip tie release and being put back on bottles. This did not work at all for me. I couldn’t get it to really stick, it didn’t pull suction enough from her nursing to get milk. I filled it with milk to get her started but, it just didn’t work for me. It is good material though, not flimsy and easy to clean.

I’m using this with my fifth baby who has Down syndrome. I tried nursing without a shield, different sized medela shields, different positions, all the tricks, and I didn’t even realize there were different shaped shields. I came across the Haaka shield and also these. I bought them both, and the Haaka shield didn’t cover enough of my breast to stay on, but these stay put AND MOST IMPORTANTLY my little one was able to pull milk when I use them. With other shields she latched ok but she doesn’t have the jaw strength to cause letdown. She still doesn’t nurse great, but using these shields is the only way we’ve found that she is able to pull milk right now. They’re thicker shields than typical medela or lansinoh shields, which has helped because my girl takes a bottle well. These are a very similar texture to a bottle nipple.

We bought these six months ago and they worked great immediately. We just ordered some more as they do wear down eventually and the new ones are TERRIBLE. The plastic is noticeably thinner so it’s immediately painful because it sucks into a flat pancake with your nipple inside. Hate that the quality changed in just a few months!!!
