Gets very hot fast. Used it on a home built parts cleaner and worked great. Too big for a standard 5 gal bucket but was able to put a spacer to take up the slack.

This thing works great for the price. I'm using it for maceration and is making quick work of my products. Fits standard 5gal bucket really well. I have some tall 6gal buckets that are a little thinner and the heater is a bit too big but still stays on with a couple of zip ties. Temp of the water in the bucket stays very consistent. The dial is in degrees Celsius, so make sure you don't mistake it for Fahrenheit or you will have problems.

Despite the product being described as useful for buckets in addition to metal drums, it does not fit adequately and gets far too hot. Although the temperature dial goes down to 30c, the heating only activates beyond about 60c, which may be too hot for plastic buckets. In addition, the springs are too long for a standard bucket which leads to a sloppy fit and, therefore, poor temperature transfer.

This thing works great. And fast. And adjustable. I bought both sizes for my honey processing. What a great value!

Ok it works great. Maybe a little to great for a plastic bucket. You have to be careful with the temperature which is Celsius and keep a full fluid level or I think it would burn itself out. It gets insanely hot if it doesn't have fluid behind it to keep it cool. You really need a metal bucket with straight sides, not tapered plastic bucket to properly use it

This item works very well except for the fact that with the thermostat set at 35-40 degrees C the band got hot enough to melt a hole in my plastic bucket. Luckily I had a catch pan under the bucket and only about a pint of honey leaked out before I was able to turn the heat off and stop the leak. If I had not been going in and out of the garage and had the catch pan, I might have had a floor of honey to clean up.Yes, the item works well, but I suggest you only use it if you can monitor it, until you get use to the thermostat.

Works great! For honey 35- 40 degrees Celsius, stir once an hour.
