SPRING-LOADED LATCH

Works great for lifting full 55 gal drums. I have used them on metal and plastic drums no problems.

Bought the one that fit over a forklift fork. Maybe because it’s new it slides fairly easy on the fork. Have to pay attention when lifting. Other than that it’s great. Will not fit over a locking ring, but I believe it said that in the description. I just take mine off as when I use a drum it stays unlocked.

This is a good lifter the only issue is if you drive over bumpy ground, the clamps tend to shift. So if you have the clamps spaced out, they may slide over together. Otherwise great product. Drive slow enough and no issues.

Easy to use and light weight comared to other options. A lot safer than the ones that go around the sides of a barrl and just catch the chime but do not actuall latch onto it and lock.

I have tried to use this on barrels with ring clamps and doesn't fit as it's supposed to in the description. Opening is too small and tight for the style we have.

Haven’t used yet but feel plenty strong enough to hold a 55 gallon barrel of diesel but the chains aren’t as big as I thought but that’s my fault; the description didn’t say 5/16 chains but I guess i just figured they would be but should still hold the weight of a large barrel gulf liquid which is just under 2 pounds per litre and 55 gallons should be about 208 litres so approximately 400 pounds full of liquid and they should carry that no problem

Looks great but is pretty much useless.Clamps are too small to go around the ring on a 55 gallon UN steel drum so unless you’re moving smaller/lighter drums these are worthless.Pretty disappointing.
