I got this thermometer to use with my new Breville BOV845BSS. My old oven had been failing me for months, and had I known, my cooking would have probably not suffered so much for so long. So when making a new oven purchase , I had to purchase this thermometer to accompany it. The thermometer worked wonderfully and gave me an accurate rating. For the price, this item is definitely worth it, it will save you trouble from ruining your food.

I have 2 oven thermometers (Norpro and Polder) which I kept in my oven and the accuracy of both are good. When my new Brandt oven seems to go haywire, these thermometers helped me to detect the correct temperature which I can show it to Brandt for free servicing. Polder has smaller font as compared to Norpro. But both are accurate and give me the same readings. However, Norpro will be more visible when I tried taking photos or video with it inside my oven. No regrets getting them. FYI, I've them for years before I write this review.

Bought because I was having trouble with brownies and cakes. Found out the oven was off by 35 degrees. If you like to bake make sure your oven is accurate. Love the large numbers where you can read it, very accurate, looks like it will last longer than my other brand.

After repeatedly finding my food not cooked properly with the stove in my current house, a friend suggested I get a thermometer to see if it was accurate or not. I was surprised to find my oven was off by approximately 35-40 degrees! I also found at lower temperatures, it is more inaccurate than at higher temperatures. Each time I tested it (while preparing to cook), I left the door closed and oven pre-heating for 30 minutes. Therefore, the thermometer was a great investment. However, I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because after looking at other thermometers, I believe the dial could be done a bit differently to make it easier to read. I would prefer the numbers to be directly under the line rather than to the side. Regardless, I picked this thermometer based on reviews by others regarding accuracy.

I have an old stove and unable to really know what temperature I am using. Now with this it's perfect. Nice size and love the colors.Standard temperatures for cooking like 350 and 400 should be highlighted. I am older and my vision doesn't work as it used to. other than that this is great.

I always had an idea that my oven was too hot, but I didn't realize it was so far off. It is almost 25 degrees F off. It is nice to know how to adjust the temperature now. I never really gave much thought to the hanger, but it is handy to hang on different racks so it is easily in view. I'm glad I purchased it.

I recently purchased a new oven, knew that the oven temp display was reading cooler than the actual temp. Everything was overcooking and I began to decrease my cook times by a full 10 minutes. This thermometer read 15 degrees lower than my oven temp display- no way that could be! This thermometer is complete junk.

Product was eventually accurate but was so slow that it just isn't practical to use. It took nearly an hour to reach 350 degrees and it was already at least 100 degrees from being shipped in the Arizona summer. Most foods would be done cooking by the time it could register the proper temperature. It is not unusual for an oven thermometer to take 10 to 15 minutes but this was ridiculous.
