Our 6 year old JennAir wall oven was constantly 20-50 degrees high. Calibration via the settings panel seem to just move the target and never did work. Its like the old temperature sensor was not linear in its reporting (resistance?) to the oven. Replacement with this temperature sensor 100% fixed the problem. Now the overn reads +-5 degrees of the digital oven setting, at least compared to an analog thermometer hanging from the middle shelf. Just one caution on the install. To install this I had to remove the broiler heating element. The wires on that have a spade connector and very short wire which if pulled and released can snap back thru the internal back wall of the oven, thru the insulation, and out the back of the cabinet. With all of the insulation in between its almost impossible to find and retrieve the wire. The only way to fix that is to pull the heavy oven from the wall to access the back panel where you can push it back thru. A wire clip on the heating element leads before removing might be advised. The longer leads on the temperature sensor with a plastic connector presents an almost opposite problem. That connector has to be wiggled thru the openings in the back walls of the oven and thru the insulation in order to access and disconnect/connect. A flat screwdriver helped guide that connector and its wire back in place.
