Don't have to use the timer, when it hits the proper temperature it regulates the oven to keep it at that temperature!

I'm a big believer in using modern technology to help assist cooking, and internal temperature probes are something I use a lot.It is one of the reasons I selected my particular Oven, an Electrolux Convection Oven - which is now about 12 years old and still working perfectly. Of course, my OEM Electrolux probe finally gave out, and unsurprisingly Electrolux didn't have one and would have to order it and would take 6-8 weeks, and cost a hundred bucks. They suggested that I should buy a new oven. :-)I took a chance on this probe. The supporting copy referred to it fitting "many models". I don't know about that, but It fit mine and works perfectly. The cord is a tiny bit shorter, but that has no pratical effect on my cooking practices with the probe.IMPORTANT NOTE: Do yourself a favor - before you throw your old probe away, take a picture of the probe jack that your original probe uses to plug into the oven. MIne happened to be a 1/4" mono phone jack - just like a guitar. (I'm a guitar player) As I have researched this part, I note that some ovens use a 1/4 MONO phone and some oven probes are equipped with a 1/4 STEREO plug (tip - ring - sleeve)That's why you'll want a picture of your dead probe before you toss it. So you can get the right style jack. It does matter. Match the look of your OEM jack to the aftermarket jack, and you're good to go. Both kinds are available from this vendor. In my case, this mono jack probe fit my 2012-13 era Electrolux Convection Oven and worked well. It was immediately recognized by my oven and issued correct tempertures and cut-off behaviors. The price was of course very competitive. At this price, I probably should have gotten TWO of them!Five stars - no issues. recommended. In fact, I recommend that you buy one now for a spare, even if your original is working fine. When your original finally quits (and it will) you don't want to be even a couple weeks without it. If you are anything like me, the probe will break at the worst possible time, as in when you have it stuck in a turkey! :-)Very happy with this replacement part. Reasonably priced, good quality fit and finish, accurate temperatures and no drama. It just works.

I have a second hand GE Dual Fuel Range P2B918SEM1SS that did not come with the oven probe. This probe ended up working well with this range.I used a cup of 136F water to measure the resistance which was 13.1kOhm. At 69F it was 61 kOhm. I do not know what type of thermistor is being used but appears it might be an NTC 60K. I then used the cup of a water in the oven with a Thermoworks Thermapen Classic which I trust and the oven probe measured the same temp (rounded up to the nearest whole number). I will note that below 100F it seems the oven just reads LO which does not mean its not working so make sure to test at higher temps.I do a lot of bread baking and bake to temp. I am excited to have this as another option to have the oven actually monitor the internal temp. Its also going to be a GREAT option for finishing up pork butts in the oven overnight without having to wake up to shut the oven off!The construction feels solid with a grey silicone lead just like the original. Would recommend.

Unfortunately, the range did not detect the part. Electrical test shows no conductivity. Something is wrong with this probe, likely defective. See below. Before giving up, I tested the item with a multimeter for resistance, which should have been in the 1K to 2K range at room temperature, meter showed infinite resistance (meaning no conductivity). Tested 2 other completely different probes from other devices, both showed resistances in acceptable range.
