I fully intended to use this part, however it took so long for delivery that I found a non Whirlpool mfg part locally that worked. I am returning the part for a refund. I would buy again if I had time to wait on delivery, because I prefer name brand manufactured replacement parts. In all cases name brand is best.

My 22 year old Whirlpool wall oven was having some over heating issues which led to a blow thermal fuse. I checked the reviews of several temperature sensors and decided to go with a Whirlpool original part over a knock off brands. It cost more than the knock off brands, but I was sure it would be compatible with my oven. I also ordered a Whirlpool original thermal fuse as well. Both parts were easy to install, just make sure you flip the breaker to the oven before working on it. After giving the oven a good cleaning and putting it back together it was time to test it out. I put an oven thermometer inside to double check the results and it is now spot on. I set the oven to 350 degrees and waited a few minutes after the oven said it was ready and the temperature was spot on. I saw the same results when I set the oven to 400 degrees. It's nice to be able to use the oven again.

An electronics company that starts with the letter B wanted to charge me $315 + tax for parts and labor. I seriously considered just buying a new oven but they are all out of stock for 3 or 4 months. I googled the problem I was having and replacing this is the #1 solution. So I looked for the part that is the same manufacturer as my oven. I ordered this one. My daughter and I were able to replace it within 5 minutes. Problem solved.

IT ended up working on my oven but the lack of instructions about killed me. IT was hard to find how to install this
