BEST THERMOMETER EVER!!! Also good to check your oven. Just because it reads the temperature you set it at does not mean it’s so. I have to beautiful Whirlpool ovens one was over by 10 degrees and the other was under by 20 degrees. Now I manually adjust on my own and eliminate the expensive service call. Well worth the money.

Needed this to tell me my oven is 100 degrees under the set temperature. Guess it is time for a new stove. Will definitely keep this in the new oven too. Glad I got this one, I believe it is more accurate just as a oral mercury thermometer is the most accurate of all to measure human temperature. I like the blue line, easy to read, but in a poorly lit oven using a flashlight causes a lot of glare back at you because of the shininess of the plate, so don't blind yourself if you use a flashlight. It is also a bit rough to bend over to read it hanging from the rack, screws and rods in the back make that a ruff read. I give it a 5 star because it does it's job and does it well.

I would love to be able to say that this is a fabulous oven thermometer. Unfortunately no matter what I do, I can't make out what the temperature is in my oven with this thermometer. It's impossible to read. There's no contrast between the temperature level and the background, and because it's so shiny, if you point a flashlight at it to try to read it, you just get glare. Looking now for my next oven thermometer...

It is so far the best oven thermometer I have bought. Very accurate

Nice to have an oven thermometer that doesn’t rely on a spring. You can hang it or set it on rack. I find it easy enough to read. It also has a lifetime warranty.

As best as I can tell, this one is reading between 50 & 65 degrees high, but is easy to read. Useless. Made in China. They are all Made in China. We also tried the Comark OT600K which uses mercury, also Made in China, claims to be accurate to within 10 degrees. Our sense is that this one is more accurate and probably is within 10 degrees but almost impossible to read. The mercury line is extremely thin / fine and when in the oven, extremely difficult to see the mercury line and impossible to read the degree markings on the stainless steel when in the oven. There is no angle of view that magnifies the mercury line like a typical thermometer. The dial type that use a bi-metallic coil are supposedly very inaccurate and that does not surprise me because it depends on the expansion of the bi-metallic coil that is simply not going to be accurate and worse w/ age . If the thermometer is not accurate, it is a waste of time and money. Useless. Shocking that all these manufacturers all sell the same junk and have done nothing to make them better, accurate and easier to read.
