This oven thermometer seems a lot more accurate than the last one I had it has a good hook so it stays on the rack instead of falling down like some other brands do

I ordered this thermometer because I had been having problems with my oven not getting up to temp. I had someone come out twice to look at it and they did do some maintence on it, but the thermometer I was using was still not showing the temperature that the oven claimed to be at. So, I thought I should try a different thermometer. So happy that I did! This thermometer not only agrees with my oven, it is so much easier to read! The large face and numbers make it easy for my old eyes to see the temperature. It is easy to hang on the oven rack.

Got this because my Samsung oven stopped heating up like it should. It is a newer unit so I was surprised. Temp is set to 350 yet this tells me the temp in the oven is only 200. $7 to tell me I wasted $700 on a piece of junk oven. I will always keep this in my ovens from now on, just for peace of mind. Super cheap and seemed to be accurate.

I have owned my Kitchen Aid oven for 4 years now and I have always thought that it runs slightly cooler than the set point. I am able to monitor the temperature more closely now when I am baking something that is more temperature sensitive. I also ordered this because my mom (who is my neighbor too) bought a new LG over and has had nothing but trouble with regulating the temperature of her oven. We popped this in and her over was 100 * hotter than she had it set for. No wonder her delicious breads and baked goods were not turning out well! She set up a visit for the repairman after testing and monitoring the temperature with this thermometer. We were both shocked at how off her oven is and I found that mine was slightly off as well (by about 10-15 degrees) . Some baked goods are very sensitive to temperature irregularities especially some of the sourdough breads we enjoy making. This is a huge help in monitoring things more closely. People used to use oven thermometers all the time and I understand why now. I won’t ever be without one anymore.

The temperature reading of this oven thermometer is around 30 degrees off. I have two other oven thermometers to compare this one to. Those two are within 5 degrees of each other and read around 30 degrees higher, which is close to the oven temperature setting, than this one.Thumbs down.

So glad I got this thermometer. I knew my oven was not heating to temp, but I did not realize how far off it was. Cooking has become so much better having the thermometer and being able to accurately cook at temp. I love how big this is, and the large font is perfect. This hangs or sits on the rack and stays in place. I have been using this for a little while and there have been no issues with burning or staining inside the glass.
