Look, I am pushing 70. I can't read the dials through my oven or smoker doors. If you have great eyesight and exceptionally clean doors this could work for you. I am going to stick with electronic thermometers that I can read without opening oven doors.

I don't trust my oven temperature reading. It seems like it is always on the low side. I got these to double check so I can be sure to back at the right temp when using the oven. So far they work great. they tell me the actual temperature of my oven. When checked with a separate thermometer, these are right on.
