My current rental has an oven that appears to have been built sometime between 1960 and today. It has no timer, no digital display whatsoever no preheat notification, nothing. Just a few knobs and that’s it.Trying to cook for the first month or two was difficult as I never knew whether the oven was at the temperature I needed to be considering the inaccuracy of the oven dial.This is a very simple solution to that problem. As far as I can tell, this is an accurate internal gauge that improves the functionality of my oven. It’s small enough not to be an issue while having a very simple design that makes it incredibly easy to use. Just clamp it on to one of your oven racks and let it do its thing.It’s been many months and I’ve never even had to clean the thing as it stays enough out of the way to avoid any food splatter.

I like the size of the dial and the pierced hand that allows a gross measurement of temperature while the slit near the end allows a refined temperature. I expect baking in my old, inaccurate oven to go a lot better with this thermometer. Unfortunately, I have no way to calibrate the thermometer. I will have to go by tests and results over time.

If i could give it no stars i would. I replaced my old one with this one because as im getting older and dont see as well i need numbers and letters to be bigger. This one is bigger. Howevever it is curved where the numbers are and i have to bend down to kneel on the floor to see them! Pointless. Didnt save packaging. Very disappointed.

Great if you have an older oven that isn't accurate on temps. For some reason my oven has a dial instead of an electric keypad to set the temps, and it's always slightly off. This has helped immensely. Would upgrade my stove if I could but I live in a rental unit, so that's not an option for me. But this was, and boy do I appreciate it. Plus it's kitchenaid, so the quality is great.

This thermometer reads the oven’s temperature very accurately. It also is designed so poorly that it cannot easily clamp onto the rack and be read from the oven door. Its asset is equally counterbalanced by its liability.

The number print had worn off my oven knob so I was guessing the temperature settings. Now with this Kitchen Aid guage I can set a perfect temperature every time. It's well made and like all KitchenAid products it's built to last!!
