I purchased this because of the hanging hook. All the others had a hook that is a joke. I've used those kinds for years. You can't get them to hang so that you can read it, so you must stand it on a rack where it always falls over. This hangs from the rack very well and it spins nicely. It seems to be accurate. I hope it lasts a while.

This thermometer definitely helped me to regulate the temperature of my oven. I no longer bake my creations too long or at the wrong temperature.

I bought this because I’ve moved into a new home with a new oven that has an imprecise temperature dial. I set the oven temp to 300 F to heat cookies - the oven light indicated preheat complete - but thermometer registered only 200 F - so I kept turning up the dial until my cookies actually ended up burning but being uncooked inside. Returning - just going to use my temp gun.

I purchased this set (2) because I have a double oven range and the oven temps were obviously not the same. When trying to calculate with these oven thermometers, they weren't helping, so I put them side by side in the same oven. There was a 50°F temperature reading difference between the thermometers. Which one is correct? Or are they both wrong? Obviously, not calibrated correctly. I would not buy.

Did not accurately provide temperature. Unfortunately I didn’t check in time to return…threw them in the trash.
