For $11 this is a very sturdy, high quality, easy to clean jar. It has thick glass and I use it to ferment kombucha. The lid is plastic with a seal that fits into it, like a plastic rubber, which I believe you can also buy replacement seals if you need to. It's versatile, you can use it to ferment and carry liquids or something that you don't want to get wet or exposed since it's airtight. In all, it put on a good performance well and it's affordable so I would recommend.

Great jars for making sun tea, collecting change, planting terrariums, storage, etc.. I'm making terrariums and the size is perfect for that. Customer service at North Mountain was great. I ordered two jars and one was broken when it arrived but I went to their website immediately to order a replacement. I followed the procedure and they quickly replied and sent out the replacement. I do question the packing of the original two jars. They were in thin cardboard with no packing material at all and then the boxes were placed in a thin paper bag. The boxes were marked fragile but they were inside a bag which was not marked fragile.

I think these are a really good value for gallon size glass jars. I’ve been using them for about 10 years and broken a couple by dropping them or knocking them against something hard, but they take a lot of use and abuse before breaking, seal well, work excellent for things like iced tea or storing large amounts of spices. I think they’re a good value and I definitely recommend them.

Nice 1 gallon jar. When it arrived the box looked too small for such a large jar but it’s definitely a 1-gallon jar. The lid is a good sturdy plastic lid I’m pleased

This is a quality jar but I didn’t give it 5 stars because it’s a lot of money for a glass jar.
