This is a nice product for the money. I've moved from extract brewing to all grain and didn't want to break the bank when it came to purchasing a mash tun. This one fit the bill! The size is decent and it's easy to put together and tear down. This makes cleaning a snap. It's light and easy to more around, and it holds its temperature quite well. I've brewed four batches of beer with it and look forward to using it for the next batch.Definitely recommended for anyone looking for an economical way to move into all-grain brewing. Cheers! :-)

So far so good the threaded nipple that goes through the cooler could be a little longer. I had to remove the pre-installed grommet to get mine to thread together.

My order was lost during shipping but customer service at Northern Brewer fixed it immediately. I will for sure go back to them in the future. Great construction and easy to assemble. A mash tun was probably the best money I've spent on brewing. Brew day is way easier and the quality of my beer increased dramatically. (This thing hold your mash at target temp perfectly!)

Have used these a couple times already, and am happy to report that they work like a dream. Easy to clean, easy to use, and great to have a spare 10 gallon cooler around should the need arise!

Really bummed - the idea of using these coolers is not new, but northern brewer advertsied this set for cheaper and with all the hardware needed to set this up rather than making it yourself. I was game and got it - however since brewing only a few all grain batches, BOTH tuns have bubbled in the inside walls in multiple spots! Just cheap coolers... Totally sucks.I emailed northern brewer and they said they would send a ups label, and once they recieved both tuns back they would issue a refund. No apology, no 'what a bummer!' or anything like maybe try another set etc. But at least they were willing to do a refund, so ok. Never got a label though, emailed again and never heard back. So both tuns are unusable as I worry about them failing in the middle of a batch and I definitely did not get much use out of then (for what they were literally desogned to do!!) And no refund either for a poor quality product...though every Northern Brewer product has their ads for 'great customer service.' Bull.So - I recimmend you spend the extra cash and buy Igloo coolers - or better yet, save money and upgrade to a better mash tun set up. And NOT from Nothern Brewer.

I wanted to like these coolers. I have brewed (mashed) two batches in these and had two stuck sparges. I was able to clear the second stuck sparge by transferring everything to the other cooler. The false bottom in these isn't very good. I tried to blow into the tube to unstick the sparge... no luck, it just created a mess. I am going to grab a "brew in the grain bag" to keep the grain from going below the false bottom.
