I purchased the 220VAC coil relay. I’m able to remotely read if my well pump is actually receiving 220v by using the relay as the status.

I use one of these with a smart plug to turn on the fireplace with a standing pilot thermocouple gas valve with Alexa. Just unplug the blower and replace with a Smart Plug. Insert a multioutlet adapter. Plug in the blower motor. Mount the relay near the manual on/off switch. Attach the connectors to the relay Normally Open contacts. Attach a 120-volt cord to the relay coil. Set up Smart Plug as "Fireplace" and say Alexa turn on fireplace. This will save you hundreds of dollars. I bought two, one for a spare. Another option would be to wire the relay contacts in parallel so the fireplace can be turned on in a power outage if desired.

In the picture you will see 2 relays and 5 wires for each relay. What was sent to me were 2 relays with 3 wires total. This relay uses 2 different sizes of spade connectors, Standard width for the relay outputs and narrow for the coil connections. The relays came with only 3 wires, a black, red, and blue wire and all of them had the narrow connectors. Like I said before, it was not 3 wires per relay, it was 3 wires total. This would allow me to connect one of the relays coils but nothing for the relay output connections and not enough wires to even connect the second relays coil, never mind the second relays outputs. What good is a 2 pack of relays if they don't come with the connectors required to use them. I could order or go to one of the big box stores to get the required connectors but why should I have to do that when the image shows it coming with all of the required wires. These will be sent back because as they have come, they are useless without added cost. Sadly, this is an issue when ordering items on-line. You don't always get what you ordered or expected. Fortunately for me, I saw this prior to the return deadline.

02/09: De-rated to 4 stars for the time being. The first one failed already just a few months in. Will report back in the second one.I used 120vac input from a smart switch and then used the output to go to the contact closure for my fireplace. It's a dry contact so it works just fine. The smart switch is connected to my smart home and can not trigger the fireplace on/off. The load side of the switch also powers the blower fan outlet in the fireplace so it all turns on at the same time, works great.

I got an old PLC to learn some ladder logic with. These worked perfect for the 24v PLC to be able to control any house 120v appliance.
