I threw a spare gear on it I had laying around, polarized it, and bolted it in. Works just fine in the Panhead.

It was a exact fit easy to install just make sure to polarize it takes 10 seconds. It replaced a junk alternator conversion on my ironhead that had a noisy bearing the generator is quite and puts out around 13.75 volts at 3 rpm great value and product.

I just installed on a 1972 Harley Sportster- worked perfect once I polarized the Armature with a 12v pulse- I would recommend it

Fits perfectly, looks just like original, took less than 30 min, to swap, works great, they should have included a gasket as a bonus, that was my only hold up.

The generator appears to be a new construction. The housing is machined and not cast. It fit perfectly fine in my Ironhead sportster and didn't have any issues with the threaded or basic construction.The only negatives for me was that it was unmarked for field and armature. And the machining left the edges a bit on the sharp side of things.It wasn't hard to figure out that when installed and looking from the brush side the left is Armature and right is Field. And a little scuff pad or file work will clean the edges if desired.So far the charge quality appears good and no issues with whine or fitment.
