Worked as advertised. I've been a professional mechanic for over 40 years. Almost every time I've had to remove a crank bolt from a Honda engine I've had to get out "Big Mo". Our 1" square drive electric impact, which weighs about 75 lbs. With this socket my normal Milwaukee 1/2" impact zipped it right off.

This thing works but pricy. It worked quickly. I dont want to be hammering on my crankshaft too long so its work it. good quality.

I was very skeptical of all the glowing reviews, but this socket absolutely works. I was trying to remove the rear bumper from an older F350, and the bolts were rusted on tight. Penetrating oil and breaker bar didn't work, impact gun with standard socket didn't work. Two seconds with the impact gun and this heavy socket and bolts came right out. Amazing!

It's rare to see a product on Amazon with a 4.8 rating (and more than 4 reviews), so I was hopeful that this socket would get me out of my fix. I am replacing a water pump on my 2004 Toyota Sienna with over 300,000 miles. I had gotten to the point of having to remove the harmonic balancer bolt. It was giving me fits and I had tried several seemingly adequate tools. First I tried my Chicago Electric 1/2" impact wrench rated at 600 ft. lbs. of breakaway torque. No luck, so at this point I'm like cool.. no problem.. great excuse to get a new air powered impact wrench to go with my recent purchase of a 2 HP, 29 gallon, 150 PSI air compressor. So I started out with cheapest impact wrench, the Central Pneumatic 1/2". Well, that wasn't going to work because as I LATER found out, it only has 585 ft. lbs. of torque. Back to Harbor Freight and I ponied up for the Eathquake XT 1/2" (in Green). This work horse is rated at 1200 ft. lbs. of torque and I was confident this would do the trick. Spoiler alert... it didn't do the trick. At this point, I'm getting nervous that I'm going to have to break out the MAPP gas blow torch or even worse, perform the "drive of shame" back to my local car repair shop. THEN... then I came across this odd, supposed miracle performing, magic socket. Could this REALLY be the silver bullet it claimed to be? Well, obviously it worked like a charm and this LONG WINDED post should be proof enough. My advice? Try this with your electric impact wrench before spending your hard earned cash on a new $100 impact wrench... unless, of course, you NEED a new $100 impact wrench ;-)

This product does what it says. Using a standard 19 mm impact socket and high torque snap on impact gun could not remove crankshaft bolt for timing chain service on a Honda. The alternative is blocking flywheel and long breaker bar to remove risking breaking of crank bolt but this socket on the same impact gun cranks it right out, it's amazing!

This tool is worth it, even if you only use it once! Attached to my air impact gun, this spun the crankshaft bolt off with ease. Much better than using a four foot breaker bar or 17mm impact socket. Did not need to use the hex shaped pulley holder either.
