From the Manufacturer

This versatile puller removes the pressed-on power steering pulleys of most Chrysler, Ford GM and VW vehicles with Saginaw, Thompson and Ford C111 and C2 pumps. It will also pull the pulleys on GM belt-driven vacuum pumps and the pressed-on water pump pulleys of GM V-4 and V-6 engines. Fits pulleys with hub diameters of 1-1/8-inch, 1-1/4-inch, 1-5/16-inch and 1-3/8-inch. An additional puller screw with a longer forcing shaft will pull the power steering pulleys on 1988-89 Quad-4 engines including 1990 and later Chevy Lumina APV's, Olds silhouette and Pontiac Trans Sport; also 3.1 liter V-6 engines on 1991 and later Chevy Lumina Sedans, Pontiac Gran Prix, Olds Cutlass Supreme and Buick Regal, all without damaging the pump shaft or pulley. The installer comes with two screws for use on most Ford and GM power steering pulleys for installation without worry of parts damage. The Ford screw has 8mm threads. The loaner set comes complete in a sturdy blow-molded plastic carry case.

Works as advertised! Outstanding for the pull. For the install, it was also great but I would suggest having a vise or an impact- Mine got stuck in those threads- pretty tight!!! I had to use my impact to back it out.Anyhow, yes, it's a great set, I will be keeping it and not just "rent" it, if you know what I mean. ; )

I bought this to install a pulley on steering pump for a 2006 Grand Caravan. It fit the application and pressed the pulley on with no problem. Also used it to pull the old pulley off to test the tool. It worked fine. The collar on the two halves of the puller device is a bit loose but I just shimmed it with a strip a metal before tightening the puller bolt . Worked fine! Great for a backyard mechanic, which I am.

I put it off for the longest time.Using the tool wasn't bad, once you understand how it works this will give you no trouble. When torquing down the bolt to remove the pulley make sure it is straight. I stripped the end and damaged my pulley bolt because I torqued it at a slight angle. I managed to remove the pulley after a couple hours nonetheless. Not bad for an amateur diy mechanic lol.You will likely get this off in 10 minutes tops-

Excellent tool kit, well-made with a nice case, and it made a tough job easy. Taking the pulley off was no problem, several tips though for installation:1.) Oil the threads on the tool screw and put a light coat on the inside of the pulley hub.2.) 'Start' the pulley on the snout of the shaft and get it as square as possible. You won't get much engagement but you don't want to start out with the pulley cocked.3.) Make sure that the tool screw is threaded into the pump shaft all the way and bottoms out. You don't want just a few threads engaged, you want all of them engaged. If you're dealing with a new pump the threads should already be cleaned out; if you're re-building your old pump or re-sealing it, make sure you clean out any crud and chase the threads in the shaft before installation. That's it. Unless there's damage on the shaft or the pulley hub or rust or corrosion present this tool will do the trick. I used two open-ended wrenches instead of a socket/ratchet and a wrench due to space constraints - while not intentional, this gave me a lot more 'feel' as to how things were going and how much pressure to apply. Take your time and this tool will work Ike a charm.

First off let me say that I've never owned a pulley puller tool, but I have rented plenty from auto zone/napa/oreilly's. This seems like a high quality tool and I was able to get the pulley off my 87 cutlass with ease; it took me a total of 5 minutes to get it off. The people here giving bad reviews either didn't follow the directions properly (like lubing the threads), don't know how to use the tool properly, or most likely got a faulty one (I've had faulty tools in the past that I've returned and the new one worked just fine). My recommendation is to look up how to use this tool through youtube or google if you are unfamiliar; simply following the directions may or may not lead you down the correct road for usage of this tool. Also, make sure you lube every part of the threads on this tool. It not only will last longer, but will also make removing pulleys a lot easier.

This pulley puller pulled perfectly. And, it also then pushed the pulley with precision.Seriously though, changing my power steering pump on my Avalanche was super easy. Worked great, and was the right price. Totally worth it.
