FRICTION
In order to improve the stability and comfort of the wheels, we use wider wheels in the design, what leads friction increased. When the wheels roll on carpet or wood floor, they may become a little bit obtuse. However, this is a normal situation and it doesn't mean that the wheels were broken or defective.
- Just pull out the old casters and insert the new, pushing them in until they lock firmly into place, no tools needed.
- The stem size is 7/16" diameter by 7/8" length. This is the standard size of almost all office chair models and brands. To check compatibility, pull out your current chair wheels and measure the stem.
HEIGHT LIMIT FOR 2" CASTERS
- Please note that with the limitation of 2in, using on the rug with wool over 0.78 inches will be possibly unworkable.
- If the carpet wool is too long, it will seriously affect the steering and movement of casters. This is the height limit for 2-inch casters.

These rollers are about the same diameter as the standard ones that come on nearly every office chair. However, they are much wider, have a flat profile parallel to the axis (meaning more wheel surface pressing on the floor), and "double-wide" wheels, which means even more wheel surface pressing on the floor and that distributes the weight over a larger area which is good for the floors, mats, and wheels.I've seen a few complaints about the wheels not turning very easily which makes it hard to adjust the precise position of the chair on the floor. They are not wrong - if you're sitting at the desk and want to nudge forward, unless the wheels aren't already in line with the direction you want to move you'll probably get that "slide & rotate" feeling when the wheels rotate on the vertical axis to align their direction of roll to the direction you want.I have an easy solution that at least works for me: If you're at the desk and want to adjust any direction at all, start by rolling your chair backward away from the desk, then begin rolling forward to the position you want. This will give the wheels time to rotate while you're still a bit back from the desk and you should be able to park your seat exactly where you like.These wheels are so nice that I don't mind the unusual reposition method.

Tried those narrow roller blade style wheels first. They were very nice but not good for my needs as they dug really deep into my thicker carpet and made deep impressions on the chair mats I tried (which tends to crack the mats over time). Instead, these wheels were much better as they are not only a much sturdier material but have a wider tread and more surface contact than stock wheels. As a result, these roll much better on carpet and dont make as deep a "dent" in my chair mats. Some have commented that they dont roll as easily. Thats true to a point. Its a minor by product of having a wider tread. If the wheels arent pointing in the direction you want to go, you need to nudge a little with your feet to get them to pivot. One they are aligned with the desired direction of travel they roll very easily and quietly. Bottom line is these are the wheels I'd been looking for.

Works great on both hard floors and on bamboo slat chair mat. Does not roll well on 1/2-in thick/dense pile area rug in living room.Some complained about these castors mentioning erratic motions when chair is moved. However, one needs to realize that all castor wheels behave the same way and must twist in order to follow in the direction of chair movement. While the soft wheels found on these castors may exhibit this behavior to a greater degree than hard wheels, I did not find it objectionable. So one needs to choose which is more important -- I chose this softer wheel that better protects hardwood floors, rolls more smoothly, and should be more durable in the long run.Because these 2" castor wheels are smaller than the 2-1/2" wheels that came with my La-Z-Boy desk chair, the seat elevation drops approximately 1/2" -- Fine for me because the lowest position of the chair with 2-1/2" wheels needed to be a smidgen lower to allow free clearance of the top of my thighs with the chair/leg opening provided by my desk.Note to ADAMDOC: Why don't you produce a version of these with 2-1/2" wheels -- I would consider them because the larger wheels would be better suited use on carpets.

Good bearings, very quiet, easy to install and use, very very smooth roll, only issue is since they are more wide than normal wheels they sometimes if hung up just perfectly will have a hard time turning, but this is easy to undo by just trying a little harder than normal to roll, they are also good for heavy dudes, i weight 270 and they have no signs of wear or damage and they still roll great. 10/10 love them

I was looking for an alternative to using a plastic floor matt on my carpet for my office chair. Using the original wheels still dented the plastic matt and carpet. We got new carpet and I did not want the same thing to happen. I came across this product and after checking some of the reviews from others. The wider wheel covers more real-estate on the carpet making it is easier on the carpet. I decided to give this product a try. So far so good, the wheels did make a difference and do not made the same indentations the original wheel made. The wheels were easy to replace and it fit my chair just fine. 🛒ðŸ˜ðŸ‘

I bought a new Serta heavy duty chair to replace the worn one after years of use. I have a hardwood floor and didn't like the provided casters. I usually purchase a set of casters that look like roller blade wheels. This time they were too tall for the rest of the chair height, and it was hurting.I bought these to shorten the overall height and they worked well for about a month. They stopped rolling while I am in the chair, so they are not for heavy duty use. I may be more than their rating, so if you weigh more than 360 pounds, don't buy.

The old wheels had almost point contact with the floor and were very damaging to the carpet. The new rollers extend the contact area and are much less agressive. It was very easy to change the rollers using a small blunt knife.

Not the usual use case people talk about ... Wonderful replacement for our Karcher WD5 which was previously scratching everywhere with the original worn plastic wheels. Now the vacuum unit moves around easily and smoothly without us worrying too much. Well made and rolls smooth ðŸ‘

I liked that they had a lot of resistance when rolling, and some of the best wheels and tread, shame the diameter is a bit too small, if they were larger the bottom of my gas cylinder on my Herman Miller wouldn't scrape against the floor.
