Not one to leave reviews but this clipboard is frustratingly bad.. Im an industrial maintenance tech and have had a few of these over the years, after using this one for about a week I am throwing it in the trash. Super cheap build, not worth the 40 dollars of even the cheap scrap metal it is, honestly a piece of junk. Springs too weak to even hold a single paper, had to take apart and bend springs for tighter grip. Hinge pins always falling out, had to make pin out of some welding rod and bend it over edges of hinge to keep it together. Inner compartment does not stay closed when you open it and is a pain to close. I highly suggest buying something else. I might sound over the top for just a clipboard but when you pay 40 dollars for something like this you expect at least a half way decent product.

the clip has a pivoting tab on the top which is annoying. just make a full size clip like a regular clipboard would have-- I am not saving space by pivoting the thumb clip in by 1/2". Also, if you have a whole stack of papers, this clip is too small to hold them. There is not a clipboard with a big enough strong enough clip to hold the stack of papers I have at my job. I added some felt pads to the underside of this clipboard so I don't have to worry about the metal corners leaving a scratch on a table.

Came with the hinge rod falling out. I had to crimp the corner of the hinges to keep the rod from falling out and the whole thing splitting in half.
