For someone who hates countertop paper towel holders this one passes muster. Sturdy -.single towels tear off easily. Is fairly unobtrusive.

So first off the arm sucks, There is no way to adjust the tension. That thing is the middle is just a spring. It seems to be made out of tube stainless steel but its hallow. My base as you can see came cracked not a big deal but not the happiest. Its heavy enough that it won't move. The way is came the arm servers no purpose it sucks plain and simple, I put a brand new roll and the tensionarm wasn't even touching it. I ended up taking it apart and bending the hole were the tension arm was and that seemed to help it alot. Im 50/50 on it once everything was screwed in right it seemed sturdy. I definitely believe you have to bend the hole to get it to work right. I might return it but it does look nice the metal is definitely not solid but it does hold.Update- the tension arm us horrible don't but this returning. It's not worth it trust me trust me trust me.

Works perfectly. The arm articulates on a spring do you can easily adjust the tension based on the size of the roll and the frequency of perforations on the role. I found tearing single handed works best when the towel end is on the left side of the arm. Looks great.

Here is the problem. It's flimsy and feels cheap. The spring arm doesn't move much and is soft on the roll. The biggest problem of all is the base is not heavy. In back it has a pancake sized plaster somewhat concrete in a bag poured in the base. Second problem this weight cracks easily. It already arrived cracked in its bag and thus the powdery substance leaks out. Third, it rolls in the bag and then pushed on the plastic base so then it won't sit level. You'll have to remove the one screw on the base, removed the busted up ballast, cover the bottom with fishing lead, glue it all up and then screw the bottom back on. It's junk. Back it goes. Im spending $10 more and getting a simplyhuman.

This is okay. I owned another but the top knob went missing (go figure). This one is not as weighted and each time I go to pull a paper towel off it rocks so I have to use a wet hand to hold it. Not really what I expected, especially for the price.

Works as designed and hold the paper towel roll in place easily.
